Limited Run BLADE RUNNER 2049: Officer K (Ryan Gosling) Jacket/Coat - NOW SELLING

Hi Zlurpo! I have some questions. You said that there was no coating and that waxing it affects the coloring in some way. Can you tell me exactly what happens if I was to wax this jacket? Will the dye bleed or something? Will the green get lighter or darker? Will the jacket be ruined? If you have tried waxing, what was the end result and do you have any pictures of the experimentation?

I haven't tried it myself but I was told it can make the color turn blotchy.

I’m currently working on a liquitex varnish test with the matte and satin options. Just waiting on the fabric to apply it on. I’ll post my formulations, processes and results once they are done. I’m hopeful that I can get this to work as I’ve had some experience with this acrylic medium in my past art projects.
stay tuned…

Just a heads up Zlurpo Etsy is claiming the coat to be sold out, though the item description is unchanged. Is this some kind of snafu or is it time to be deeply frightened?

I'm still watching in wonder from the poverty line, but also curious what's up. Scary!

Here's some pictures! I actually don't have a coat that fits me just right, since I didn't order a final version. But these show the final coat on a hanger pretty well!

Pros: Overall look, weight, outer color I think is perfect, I love the new fur texture, and the magnets actually seem to do a solid job of holding it closed.

Cons: The fur is a bit too orange. My initial reaction when I saw it in person was that it was WAY too orange, but after seeing it for a while I really think the biggest issue is that it's too clean. I think that dirtied up, it's pretty dang close. Not as perfect as the outer cloth color, but very close.

I have tried to use flat lighting and photoshop to get the third picture to reflect the colors accurately but gosh it's hard to get it just right with a camera. Inside looking at a coat, it looks like the right shade of green. As I carry it outside, it looks gray. Get outside, it looks blue (as seen in the first two pictures). I guess that means it matches the movie!

Oh and I just had a limited stock set on etsy, doesn't mean anything. I've added more stock!

I actually kinda loved the prototype fur, it did that weird subtle thing where it makes the lapel uppermost edges seem even narrower, awesome color too.

I really, really like how the printing came out on this, should look even better once it's lived in, and that seam placement all round is something else.

Yiiissssssssss thank you. Looks awesome! Jacket color is perfect. I think the fur will be perfect if dirtied a bit.

LET US KNOW WHEN SHIPPED THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME. :>

Like many things on this coat, it's hard to get a great shot of the printing. It's actually less visible in real life, and using a warm iron through paper takes it down even a bit more.

Ever fit any news in the additional warmer lining?

Texture of the fur seems nice but it's pretty bright indeed judging from the pictures.
