Black Series Helmets - whats next after Boba Fett

If anyone has any links to where this is in stock, I’d much appreciate it. I’m not a sequel fan but my friend is and his birthday is coming up, actually the day before mine and since Black Series rereleases everything except Kylo, there hasn’t been a chance to get one at a decent price. This looks like a huge improvement over BS also. I’m keeping an eye out.

Hopefully they will come back to the Disney Store website. They still have the 187th Clone Trooper stocked and the are the same style box series so maybe they intend to bring it back when they have stock. Last I heard, they still had some in the parks but I do not know if it was both coasts or just Disneyland. So if you get desperate, there are always smugglers or eBay. But I got a feeling these will come back to the website at least by holiday shopping season.

I am curious about the price and what the final costume will actually look like. Based on the available photos it does appear to be a step-up from the Rubies Supreme Vader costume but we won’t know until the actual costume is released.

I feel weird about it because it does look like a decent Vader. Not super-screen-accurate, but at least it looks like Darth Vader. In the past to get a high quality and/or accurate Darth Vader kit you had to put in the work, time, and effort but now with this anyone can just buy a good quality and reasonably accurate Vader costume with no effort. I don’t like Gate-Keeping so I’m not against it I’m just not looking forward to 25-40 Darth Vaders walking around you next local sci-fi convention. A good Darth Vader costume used to be special, I’m afraid something like this will make it ordinary.

That´s exactly what I was thinking back the days, when Master Replicas started to offer high end prop-replicas...now prop-(building/) collecting was something for everyone and not just for the "inner circle".

I was in the toy shop where I got the Don Post TIE Pilot helmet, and they had a BS Shadow Trooper. Previously it had been some outrageous price but since it's been reissued on ShopDisney, they marked it down to a price even I might buy it for. Must resist...

A bit late to the party, but I finally picked up the Rex helmet. What a cool piece, and actually manages to make the Bo helmet seem small in comparison.

My Jazwares Darth Revan helmet came in a couple of days ago. It looks better than I thought it would, but it’s certainly no Black Series.

Just speculation on my part as I am not knowledgeable about either version of the clone helmets but I thought I remember past discussions about how it is hard to accurately replicate an onscreen Phase 1 helmet because it would be hard to make one that would fit on head and around the neck and keep the same size proportions. So to add further speculation, Hasbro might have hesitations about doing an adult collectible that would be crapped on by toxic fandom.

As I understand it, there's no such thing as an Ep2 prop helmet, because the clones were 100% CG.

EFX did both the regular the Clone Trooper and the Red, mirrored visor Clone Captain, both of witch are a fortune now. Sanitized Creations offers a very nice Ep2 Clone Trooper which I bought in kit form as a replacement for my EFX Ep 2 Clone I had to sell.

I wanted EFX, back when I had both the Clone Trooper and Clone Captain to make the Yellow Ep 2 Clone Trooper and the Clone Pilot.

It's odd Anovos, and the others have not made one given the rarity. Clone 3s from Master Replicas are pretty common and not super expensive, yet they are making new ones of those.

Very odd.
