Hey
James Kenobi 1138 ! Did you try adjusting the top strap? The strap pushes up on the right ear side, and then you can adust the pad back to the center of the helmet.
I picked mine up on May The 4th Be With You Day at a Walmart an hour away from where I live. I had to ask where the helmets were, and the lady in the toy isle directed me to an endcap in the middle of the electronics department. I picked out a nice looking box, and took it to the counter. I asked the guy there if we could open it to check for damage. He called out to the lady who'd sent me there "He wants to open it!" "NO! NO OPENING!" she hollered back. I explained that I'd driven an hour to get there and I would buy it if it was O.K., but that there were lots of damaged helmets being reported at the Star Wars Forums. Thankfully he looked over his shoulder to see if the coast was clear, he unlocked the SpiderLock device and whipped out a box cutter and cut the tape and we proceeded to inspect the helmet. I could see through the bag that all the paint was there, was in the correct spots, and wasn't crooked! "I'll take it! Can I pay right here?" And so I did! NO SALE THOUGH! #WhatGivesWalmart?!
I tried it on in the car, and it was sitting high. I couldn't quite see out over the cheek plates so I ditched the idea of wearing it home. Besides, there were local and state cops all over the freeway, and I didn't want the hassel of a ticket for being silly.
I read the directions once I got it home and figured out how to install the battery properly WITHOUT TOOLS and adjusted the top strap to let the helmet sit further down on my head.
I proceeded over to the hall mirror to have a looksee and was overwhelmed with giggles! TOO MUCH FUN! I haven't worn a Boba Fett helmet in 35 years since I outgrew the fiberglass helmet my Dad made me when I was little.

I wish I could claim that we knew about the Super Trooper back then, but the truth is that I outgrew the helmet very quickly and we never got around to painting it. Dad sculpted it more like the toy figure than the movie character, but if we'd made it with the flare at the bottom I probably could have gotten a couple of years out of it. Funny thing is, now that I think about it, that white Boba Fett helmet sitting on my shelf all these years... explains my fondness for the Super Trooper ever since I found out about it a few years ago.
I wish the folks at #Hasbro would have smoothed out the Black Series Super Trooper Helmet, if they'd done it correctly I'd have snapped one up for certain!
Good Luck! to everyone still waiting on their's to come in the mail, to everyone trying to find one in the wild, and especially to all those who haven't gotten a perfect helmet and are trying to exchange it for a good one!
