Black Series Boba Fett Helmet Announced

What I do with Brickseek is watch any area store that says the have them instead of potentially wasting a trip to go. When I see the stock change I know they’re out and being sold, and then go get the item.

Picked up my buddy to go grab his at Walmart. I refuse to give this company a dime and will wait for mine to ship from hasbro.

Brickseek showed a bunch at a few Wal-Marts by me yesterday and sure enough, they were out. Here’s some comparison pics of it(middle) with the EFX PCR on the left and the MR on the right.

Looks like maybe a replacement for the rangefinder stalk, but other than that, they really killed it on this helmet. Any chance you could get some closer pics of some of the paint chipping - is it in fact molded into the helmet as was suggested back when the helmet was announced?

Looks like maybe a replacement for the rangefinder stalk, but other than that, they really killed it on this helmet. Any chance you could get some closer pics of some of the paint chipping - is it in fact molded into the helmet as was suggested back when the helmet was announced?

Pretty impressive isn't it! also if my memory is correct, I'm pretty sure the MR used to be $450-550. (Limited vs. signature) But I could be wrong.

Interesting that hasbros seems to Ben more of a blueish green compared to the others, when Hasbro says they matched the colors to the original, wonder which is right?

Feeling a lot better about cancelling my EFX PCR and getting this one instead. USPS just notified me that I'm scheduled to receive a package tomorrow and I have no idea what it is. Maybe its the BS Fett I ordered from HasbroPulse?

Efx said the same. I have to say EFX is closer in my eyes. The details are more accurate. The silver and dark gray splotch to the upper left of the turn signals is only correct in size and shape on the EFX for example.
The BS is a marvel though I must say.

I wouldn't think so, considering the "street date" IS supposed to be May 4th. Plus, wouldn't you have gotten a payment + shipping notification from HasbroPulse first? (I also ordered from them)

Good job Hasbro. Each helmet has things that keep them from being perfect. The MR has the pinched visor and is missing a lot of paint detail. The EFX is the closest to accurate in my opinion even with the seamlines, which you can't really fault it for considering how all the PCR helmets are constructed. I can't get over how close the Black Series comes. Even though Hasbro corrected the asymmetry of the helmet, it doesn't take away from it.

Bear in mind also that the MR is a reproduction of the Pre-Pro 3 helmet. Joe Johnston painted it and the one ultimately used in ESB almost identically. Almost. Given how many things that are on it are on the EFX, I wonder if they used their same mastering reference to do the new PCR. Since it's almost but not quite the same company.

To my eye, the HBS looks more like the ESB (vertical scratch behind the left earcap, for instance), the MR is obviously the PP3 (horizontalish scratch near the bottom of the rear helmet behind the left earcap). The EFX has neither of those scratches, some seems to be PP3 weathering, some seems to be ESB, a bizarre fusion of the two helmets.

As for the color, is the EFX painted, like the MR one was? Might it be the difference between the reflective qualities of paint versus colored plastic? Or the spectrum of lighting used? Lord knows it makes Star Trek and Imperial uniform colors shift...

In my store it was the case with the star wars drones, but I never saw a black series helmet, I will check again tomorrow before the store opening

What is the Walmart SKU for this? I have it pre-ordered from Amazon, but will cancel it if I can score one locally.
