Bioshock infinite Booker's box.

Well that's not happening, 700 dollars? Once we figure everything out this will cost around 150-200 bucks and most of that will be for the Mauser replica.

Haha I know but there are some good pics of the box I messages the guy asking for its dimensions

There are some good photos, however if the paper props are anything to go off of, either the box is too small, or the paper props are too large. So I would take the dimensions with a grain of salt.

I can almost guarantee that the box is between 13.5 and 14 inches wide because a c96 Mauser is around 13in wide and fits very snugly inside the box.

You ain't the only one building a 7th Calvary Cigar box, friend:

here's what I've got so far. It isn't exact by any means, but it's pretty dang close.

the sculpt on the plate is pretty good, probably going to redo the fasteners for the hinges and latches because they look really sloppy.

Also picked up a Denix replica C96 Mauser, which is what the pistol from in-game is based on. I'm thinking of modifying it to look more like the in-game model, but not sure what I would cast the parts in to match the metal of the gun... If anyone has any ideas on that, let me know.

A super good reference that I used to get this far was this DeviantArt page from a guy named ArmachamCorp who extracts models from video games. Luckily he got the Cigar box! :D BioShock Infinite Props Pack 1A by ArmachamCorp on deviantART . He converts them to a file type that reuires a program called XNALara XPS to use. It was originally created for people to pose Lara Croft models and take screenshots of them, but has been taken over by someone else and supports tons of models. The DeviantArt guy has a download tutorial somewhere in his page.

let me know if this helps you any as far as scale and good images, and also let me know if anyone knows what to cast the gun parts in or even the plate parts.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that the Irrational games store is selling replica Silver Eagles: https://store.irrationalgames.com/Product.aspx?pSKU=2K-BS-INF-SILVCOIN&vSKU=2K-BS-INF-SILVCOIN . They're out of stock right now, but I asked them on twitter and they said they'd be restocking them soon. There's three of them visible in the in game box.

Also, the paper prop pics posted earlier in the thread are probably the best you're gonna find. Even the images files for the actual game model are kind of distorted, low resolution and bland in color.

Jakeinator123 - Was your wood box homemade or did you pick it up somewhere? That's been my toughest find so far.

Sort of related: Irrational shut down. So I don't know if they will continue to sell any products or if they are getting rid of what they have and leaving it at that. Food for thought.

Thanks, quackdealer! Did you end up checking out the model?

Gixxerfool, Levine said that the Irrational store would still go on without the company in a tweet, which makes me super happy :p However, extremely disappointed to see Irrational shut down.

Agreed. For more reasons than one. Levine spearheaded everything they did. You can see the difference between Levine's Bioshock and somebody elses. It will be nice to see what he puts out from here, but you know 2K will likely pile drive the franchise now. There was some speculation 2K was shutting down Irrational partly because Infinite did not make its money back. Shame either way. Nice to see the store will remain. Althoughy hopes of snatching up some stuff at a steep discount is dashed. Sorry for the derailment.

I posted Pictures of Elizabeth's key I made in a Bioshock Prop thread a while ago. It was as close as I could get to perfect in terms of size...IMAG0172.jpgIMAG0176.jpg

Thanks! The larger end is layered pieces of thin plastic, the rod is just a piece of metal tube, and the rounded parts are scrap wood. I also made a box for it, inspired by Booker's box, with the Fink logo on top and some in game art on the inside of the lid.
