Best Method for cleaning airbrush

My Iwata HPC that always seems to have paint debris as I am spraying. I am thinking of a more aggressive cleaning tact. What do you guys do for cleaning the gun when airbrushing?

Thanks

I'm lazy...If I'm using acrylics, I run some glass cleaner through it. If enamel, lacquer thinner. Every few months, I like to disassemble it and give it a good cleaning, whether it needs it or not ;)

I was taught to run a little 409 through it just after you finish. Then some 79% alcohol and finally clean water. I then remove the needle and wipe clean, put it back together, dry it off and there you are. I'm so used to it now it only takes me 2 minutes to clean my airbrush. Btw, my Iwata is 11 years old and in perfect condition...
