Sure someone has posted this someplace ( I have been digging and cant really find a solid write up) so sorry if its beating a dead horse... but anyone have examples or good ideas for doing a really good build for the joint and opening on most ironman suits ? Not just a solid color suit or ribbing plastic.. but good detail my OCD goes right to that detail on most builds and I want to work this aspect into my build .....

Thanks :) I will keep an eye on your build. I am also talking about the underarm are that gap as well as the gap where thighs meet cod piece. ( I know I am pretty OCD :( )

I'm thinking of adding this to my suit as a future upgrade. Maybe some strips of 2mm craft foam connected by nylon strapping and elastic. Something that can accordion in and out as you bend the joint.

Unrelated question but....how did that video camera work out for you? I'm looking to do something similar very soon.

Really, really well actually! I fitted all the electricals last night, hooked them all up to power, put the helmet on and powered it all up. Unfortunately my tablet phone is a little to big to get in there and get the angle on the lenses. I'll have another go at a quick video when I get a minute.

Everything works a treat. All I have to do now is re-install the micro-switches under the hinges after the motor and worm gear goes in.
