Best glue to fix a rubber Aliens facehugger?

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this,---I wondered if anyone here can help, I have a (neca?) Aliens egg with a launching rubber facehugger, the tail has become detached near the body, can anyone here advise if there is a glue that can re-attach it? and would it still have some flexibility afterwards? in order to spring out of the egg the tail has to be tucked in under the body of the facehugger to work effectively.

Contact cement? I don't know if that is the correct term in English. It has some flex and works on most materials save some polyolefin plastics. Also used for shoes. Here found a nice write up for this type of glue. What are some of the uses for contact cement?
