Best electric sander for rounded surfaces?

I'm in the market for a new sander. My painter, at a body shop, recommended me a spinning disk sander, but it is ran by air. I went to Sears and Home Depot, and they only have the small belt and orbital sanders. I need it to smooth out rounded surfaces, like helmets. It should be electrical, for I have no money or space to set-up air hoses. What do you use? Thanks.

The random comments, here, are getting out of hand.

I said I want to sand a surface, not shave it.

huh?
the link i posted takes me to a review of the craftsman "3D Sander"....
if it takes you somewhere else, i dont know why....i didnt post an electric razor...
anyhow, do a google search for "craftsman 3D sander"

this may sound daft, but when sanding large surfaces which are cuved, I often find machine sanding can ripple if you arent careful.
A good tip, believe it or not, is to get a sheet of sandpaper, superglue and a latex glove.
Yup, stick your hand in the latex glove, cover the fingers with superglue, put the sandpaper sheet you want to use face down on a table , and with your fingers slightly outstretched, glue yoursef to the paper !
This method seems much less hard work, and lets you 'feel the curve'
:unsure
