Baylan Skoll / Shin Hati Dark Jedi Costumes - Ahsoka (Series) Star Wars

I just let my beard grow and it seem to fit the part. I agree that the boots look like they are covered with some kind of gaiters with a strap or two in the back.

As for the Saber, I got some files for 3D printing Disney Savi light sabers parts, so I took the 3D file of Baylan’s saber enlarged it to the Savi size, cut some parts and combined a few things. Not quite right and a bit big but it passes. I used it for the Ahsoka Screening at LFL in San Fran. It was pretty nice time. There where two others trying to do the Baylan outfit.

I regret not taking a picture, saber fighting with one of the Ahsoka’s that were there, but next time.

As for the gauntlets… They were a bit of a pain; I used some Velcro and a strap going around the back end. They were a bit to small, I have since resize them better making them a bit shorter and a bit wider (was hard to bend my elbows and hard to close with gloves), I’ve 3D printed them and will be using magnets like used with the Mando gauntlets, will be ordering the magnets this week to see now it works. Also looking at butting some lights, the new print I did, I cut out the buttons to have them open, I put clear cover so light can come through. The button layout is a bit different then the 3D files I have but I might try to change it later.

I’m still not to sure his top is made of leather but I do agree in the style is a mix of medieval knights and Japanese outfits types. I did my top as a Tunic/Tabard style with the skirt sewed to the top vest. But after seeing it again, he has two layers of skirts so I might be looking into adding the 2nd layer.

Also am reprinting the shoulders to make them about 10% bigger, Haven’t finish yet, should be done by tomorrow so I can test it out. Was debating with going 5% or 10%, I’m trying the 10% first and see how that goes, it does need to be a bit bigger for me to make it a tab bit more comfortable.

Another thing I’m reprinting is the stone for the buckle, it seems huge in the series.

Not much can be made out from the first two episodes that hasn’t been looked at in the trailer and other pictures. Waiting to see what else we can notice in the other episodes. Anyway, and interesting character and costume.

Hi Edwin. How did you get on with the skirts?

I'm trying to work on a pattern to get started. Seems like one wide piece at the back, and two narrower ones at the front. BUT, then as you say, there could be multiple layers?

Finished v1 of Baylan's buckle tonight. Not perfect so v1.5 will be done shortly.

Great information you guys are posting here!! I was wondering about the tunic clasps - looks like that mystery has been solved.

I printed the same model you guys are printing. I went to 110% for most parts, 120% for the ring. For reference, I'm 6'2", 215 lbs. Seems to fit.

Some things I'm doing a bit differently, like many of you, I'm redoing the buttons on the gauntlets for better accuracy. I'm also carving out the space for some electronics, lights, batteries and LCD panels. I'm very close to printing the first test - after I get the electronics working properly.

I'm using RP2040 boards (maybe switching to RP-Tiny) with LIPO batteries and a 1.54" LCD screen.

For the saber, I'm also modifying the model to hold speakers, a proffie board, batteries, etc. I'm also going to experiment with making a triple sided neopixel (which I guess is already a thing).

All models I've printed seem to be working out well. I just finished printing the belt crystal in clear resin and it looks fantastic. I'll coat it in green tonight and add some airbrushing. I hope to capture that green tint shown in the recent episodes.

Still working on growing out the beard. Lol.

Where did you get the ring file? I have everything else.

Where did you get the ring file? Only part I am missing.

Working on mine as well. Using Mysterymaker files for printing.

Need to paint/weather and work out the LEDs for the gauntlets, plus decide how I want to do the screens. For now, it's just a sticker. Belt buckle stone printed in clear filament and used green alcohol ink to dye and added 16 gage gold aluminum wire.

Lightsaber is from Damiensaber, and needs weathered badly.

I have everything sourced except the ring and boots.

Hey @Ejayisson maybe you'd consider my solution? Take a look here, tell me what you think! (that's my insta) I made quite a number of these screens for Mandos and Boba Fetts, the Baylan Skoll orders are starting to roll in.

I’ve seen that option on the Facebook build group. Right now it’s a backup option, as I want to try a few things out.

I have access to a backlit material if diffused properly may give off a look of a screen.

Looking like I might finish the boots tomorrow. Still need to add buckles and straps but in the home stretch now. I used the Ad Tech Biker boots off amazon as the base and then a molded piece of hard leather as the structure of the gator. Then fitted suede over the leather in strips and trimmed out with stuff from Joann's.

I was thinking I might use Otter Wax to finish the suede. Anyone use the stuff before? I'm thinking it might give it a more weathered look but worried it will actually ruin the whole thing.

Love those boots, I’d wear them daily

I've already made some things for my Baylan costume, I'm using the Galactic Armory files
