here are a few shots of the first 5 helms

I will take better photos of the silver viper to show the blue tint I added to the clear coat to get the look I was after.
so there ya go.

I cannot contain myself at the prospect of holding one of these helmets in my hands. I'm going to drive my wife insane when this finally ships with repeated phone calls from work, "Is it here yet?" <10 minutes later> "Is it here yet?"

Mike --

You must have read my mind, as I was writing up an email that was going to ask about a small blue tint to the Viper helmets .... (great minds think alike?)

Please make mine silver when my # comes up

thanks for a great job, and also for the updates.

Mike

any pictures with the blue tint?
[/b]

Tried to take some pictures but my camera doesnt pick it up too well the problem seems to be the lighting im using plus the fact that the blue is in the recessed areas you can see it very clear in person 3-D but it looses something in the photograph.
The helms are shipped out now perhaps someone who bought the silver Viper will send some pix that can do justice to the paint job.
I may go through the shots again to see if I can find a decent shot.

Thanks Dana I was just going to suggest going over to the ASAP to view these pictures but you beat me to it.
still looks better in person I think its because the tint makes it look like it has more depth probably because each eye see's a different color and your brain gives it that interference.... anyway looks great.

Watching the miniseries just now, and is it just me or does the lighting in some scenes make the "eyes" look lopsided on some helmets? - Specially Helo's and Boomer's...

^ Aye, that too. Didn't mean to be rude. If I could afford one of these replicas I'd buy in a flash.

I never had the impression the studio helms were lopsided all the photos I have of the studio prop look symmetrical and dead on.I guess it could be the lighting ,have to check out my tape .would be a shame if they were screwed up somehow especially since they cost the production company 10 grand apiece.
or so Im told
