Just like my BSG Duty Blues I forgot to create a thread for this project.
The base BDUs are from a UK site called Military First.
I bought a conversion kit from Alchemy Arms (as well as a belt) Here
Shot of the BDUs before conversion started.
The first thing I had to do was remove the lower pockets on the BDU top (the material from these is then used to make the belt loops to ensure a match)
Aforementioned belt loops
I then had to attach the pocket straps and buckles from the conversion kit
I also bought a gunbelt and razorback double tanks from Anovos
At this point in the project, I had to buy another base BDU as the one I had originally bought got too big as I had lost some weight since starting it (they were a bit big to begin with), it was just a simple matter of taking off what I had done on the old one and putting it on the new one.
Shirt complete apart from the shoulder panels which I don't seem to have taken any progress photos of (sorry for poor photo)
close up of straps and buckles on cuffs
New belt loops with BDU belt
I first wore the costume at the Winter London Film and Comic Con in October 2014 where I had a photoshoot with Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from the show)
I also wore it at the Brighton Film and Comic Con in November where I had a photo with Rene Auberjonois(When this photo was taken the grey tank top had gone under the brown one, so it looks like it isn't there)
As with my Duty Blues, I will take some better shots of it when I get the chance
