I completely forgot to start a thread here when I did this costume.
I bought the costume from Costumebase here, knowing that I would need to modify it to be more screen actuate. But for the price it is nice.
I bought the costume in October 2014, but didn't start any conversions until June 2015.
The first thing I did was make some belt loops for it, the fabric I used for it wasn't perfect but was close.
The belt comes from Alchemy Arms as the one that was supplied with the costume was too dark (Didn't take a comparison shot)
I then modified the cuffs to the correct 4 inches. Since the sleeves were too long for me anyway I just had to shorten the bottom of the cuffs, I had unattached and then reattached the bottom pipping.
I bought from Ultra Suede in a colour called Admiral from , and made some shoulder pannels

I also painted the CostumeBase buttoms. Here a pic comparing the unpainted and painted buttons. Unpainted on the left

The rank pins (Captain) and pilot wings I am using for the blues are both from GalronMFG (I have a second set of the Captain pins for my Off-Duty BDUs, for which I will also make a thread), the personalised dog tags are also from GalronMFG and are used for both costumes.

A closer look at the tags.

and rank pins

I also added a snap to the collar to help keep it in place

I then reattached the buttons to the costume

I then pined the shoulder panels to the costume in preparation for sewing, this was the last progress photo I took.
BTW the boots I use for this costume are Magnum Classics (I use the same ones for the aforementioned BDUs and a Stargate SG-1 costume that I am working on (a thread will be made)

Also the patches I use for it (I do also have a Battlestar Triton one if the desire to use it arises). All three come from Alchemy Arms

I debated the costume at Brighton Film and Comic Con last November, where I had a photoshhot with Leah Cairns (Racetrack from the show)

I also had a fun little photo taken on a Emperor's Throne prop (green scene)

I will post some more pic when I get a chance to take some
