Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome Colonial Sidearms

very nice! While I liked the 5.7 pistol - seemed more "realistic" - the clamshell deign had that sort of romantic feel to it. Kinda a blaster vs lightsaber thing......idk

The B&C pistol was amazing - I cant wait to see more!

Kenny,

I thought the show rocked. I'm looking forward to more. Hope it is successful and stays around longer than Caprica, which I also enjoyed.

cool! if i may ask- what was the internal gun used for b&c? oh and i would be up for one if you offered. :thumbsup

A great offering like this and you only have one rep square? Come on people show some love!!

@Lear60man
Exactly..... thank you! AND.... I had to ask for the rep I got. Man. if you look at my other posts.... I'm like so giving away the keys to the castle. LOL Seriously, though..... its all good. To be honest, I don't even know what the rep does. lol I actually just became a premium member because I do spend a lot of time reading threads at night vs reading some dumb book. Or, viewing some of the builds that you guys are doing. So, I figured I would support the site... sit back.... and enjoy the show. :popcorn

Wait until you see what I post next here. :love But, I'm not going to just throw a ton of pics up and watch a cool thread die early either.

Cheers,
Kenney

@Lear60man
OMG dude...... I just noticed your rep. LMAO How the hell did you get a rep level of over 750. :darnkids

Oh, come on guys! Help the brother out..... papa needs a new pair of shoes. LOL OK, who do I pay? How much? WTF Art! I should get like 100 points just for becoming a paying supporter. :angry

I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THE THREAD!!!! DON'T EXPECT ANY PICS ANYTIME SOON!!!!

Thanks for giving away the keys to the castle.
I hope your talks go well so that I can get an officially licensed copy. :thumbsup

@SmilingOtter

A lot of people for quite some time thought that those guns were a found.... converted.... modified weapon. They were not. Those guns are completely hand made from the ground up. They are fully automatic weapons made to fire real blank ammo and only two were made.

Hey guys..... we need to not be posting any links to outside sales of replica props that are clearly in violation of licensing to this thread. Since I work in the film industry and since I'm in negotiations with the current licensing holder to do a run of season 1 guns, I am forced to ask that you all keep that in mind and respect that. Plus, it places me in a situation where I could get "that call". I share a lot with you all.... not just on this thread but others and I would love to continue to do so. I truly believe behind the scenes information, like what I'm providing, is appreciated by most. I also believe that this community loves building props and, on this forum, its about making and sharing props..... not profit. That website is clearly, without a doubt, a site for profit. This is where it crosses the line. So, again, I respectfully ask all the members to help me out on this one. :)

thanks guys.....and gals!

Now, I'm going to do ONE LAST thing on this thread and then we will all move on. Since the license holder has publicly released a video interview introducing that I will be doing a run of guns for them, I will share ONE build photo of my Starbuck's Season 1 Sidearm. This is the final version during the fitting of the shells. After this photo, I want no more posts, links, or questions related to it. I think this is above and beyond fair and also..... NOT in anyway shape or form about what this thread is for. LOL I will already assume, at this time, to expect a phone call for what I do next. I hope you guys appreciate it!

FYI..... this is the prop to get. The shells are EXACT! The CAD I took right off the real heros. Instead of the cast plastic painted grips found on the heros, I created a CAD off the real hero grips and machined them out of walnut. I machined the barrel EXACT to the real heros. The internal guns are EXACT replicas and I modified them EXACTLY as the real heros. (too many "EXACTS"?) lol I have a limited number of internal guns and there will be NO more. The molds are done (meaning NO MORE) and that means there will be no more plastic injected internal guns! I can't stress enough how dead balls accurate these are. Not to forget, you're getting one of the prop fabricators that built weapons for the BSG genre. OK.... I think you get the point. lol This is truly a beautiful piece and it doesn't end there.... there's more. But, you'll have to keep an eye out for that. Please don't ask when or how much etc etc. I can't give that information out.... even if I knew the answers. I can only say that I have worked on doing this for you guys for a very long time.

Man, I know I'm going to get a call. lol:facepalm

oh..... and yes it will have a rotating cylinder inside with working trigger and hammer. OK..... now I'm finished!

Enjoy!

I do have one small teeny tiny favor to ask. Any chance you could e-mail that pic with the watermark not on the pistol? I would love to have that for my desktop. You can have your watermark on it just please please please not over the pistol. pretty pretty please :) :)
