Hey guys..... we need to not be posting any links to outside sales of replica props that are clearly in violation of licensing to this thread. Since I work in the film industry and since I'm in negotiations with the current licensing holder to do a run of season 1 guns, I am forced to ask that you all keep that in mind and respect that. Plus, it places me in a situation where I could get "that call". I share a lot with you all.... not just on this thread but others and I would love to continue to do so. I truly believe behind the scenes information, like what I'm providing, is appreciated by most. I also believe that this community loves building props and, on this forum, its about making and sharing props..... not profit. That website is clearly, without a doubt, a site for profit. This is where it crosses the line. So, again, I respectfully ask all the members to help me out on this one.
thanks guys.....and gals!
Now, I'm going to do ONE LAST thing on this thread and then we will all move on. Since the license holder has publicly released a video interview introducing that I will be doing a run of guns for them, I will share ONE build photo of my Starbuck's Season 1 Sidearm. This is the final version during the fitting of the shells. After this photo, I want no more posts, links, or questions related to it. I think this is above and beyond fair and also..... NOT in anyway shape or form about what this thread is for. LOL I will already assume, at this time, to expect a phone call for what I do next. I hope you guys appreciate it!
FYI..... this is the prop to get. The shells are EXACT! The CAD I took right off the real heros. Instead of the cast plastic painted grips found on the heros, I created a CAD off the real hero grips and machined them out of walnut. I machined the barrel EXACT to the real heros. The internal guns are EXACT replicas and I modified them EXACTLY as the real heros. (too many "EXACTS"?) lol I have a limited number of internal guns and there will be NO more. The molds are done (meaning NO MORE) and that means there will be no more plastic injected internal guns! I can't stress enough how dead balls accurate these are. Not to forget, you're getting one of the prop fabricators that built weapons for the BSG genre. OK.... I think you get the point. lol This is truly a beautiful piece and it doesn't end there.... there's more. But, you'll have to keep an eye out for that. Please don't ask when or how much etc etc. I can't give that information out.... even if I knew the answers. I can only say that I have worked on doing this for you guys for a very long time.
Man, I know I'm going to get a call. lol:facepalm
