Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Definitely too soon for Doomsday.

I'd prefer Brainiac over Metallo. Plus, isn't Metallo powered by Kryptonite... something that was kind of left out in MoS. Will he be powered by pollution instead?

It would be cool if they got Malcolm McDowell to play Metallo since he's voiced the character on JL cartoons.

After watching MoS again, I loved the Faora character and Antje Traue probably would have made a pretty awesome WW too, if they could make her look taller (maybe the same camera trickery used in the Lord of the Rings movies). I just can't get past using the same actor for more than one role in the same universe.

It's sounding more and more like SvB is going to be the intro into a JL movie. They'll probably all meet at some point and say "Hey, let's form a team, it'll be groovy"

It wasnt introduced in MoS but it could be introduced still tho. Maybe how they could use metallo as a combined introduction.

Well this superman maybe doesn't need help to beat strong vilains, be he needs it to avoid further collateral damages. Wasn't entirely his fault half the city was destroyed in MOS, he was all alone and a rookie, so I'm sure an extra pair of super hands would have been useful and will be useful if a similar situation happens.

I'm hoping this is not a full blown justice league, which isn't needed against luthor or metallo anyway. A good plot, while slightly similar to Avengers, would be the three first episodes of the Justice League cartoon, "Secret Origins", the invasion of White Martians and introduction of J'onn J'onzz, the heroes being tracked down and have to go undercover as their civil alter ego. Only Batman and Superman work together occasionally (chronologically it's after World's Finest cartoon), it's only after the invasion that Superman asks to form a team with the others. (Secret Origins - DCAU Wiki: your fan made guide to the DC Animated Universe)

If they could just hint at the fact that other superheroes exists in MoS 2, like showing scientists/military/Superman/whatever that have found something connected to WW's island, then zoom to the island and show us, viewers, Princess Diana training, and leave the flash on a background tv or newspaper.

I agree that Doomsday should not be a stand alone villain, but like the comics I would like him to be the one to kill superman so they can have the return. IDK maybe have Brainiac and Doomsday. Brainiac being the smarter, background character for most the film, controlling or manipulating Doomsday, Doomsday actually kills him because of he's tired of being manipulated, etc. then somehow kills Superman sometime there after. Of Bizzarro and Doomsday. I don't know, but I agree one of them needs to have a deeper story. One wearing him down and the other to finish him off then the full scale invasion of Darkseid in another with his return.

I love this-- look at the M in 'TIME'

Keep Doomsday out of the movies - hated him in the comics, will be worse in a movie. I wonder if they could pull off Brainiac and make him work; Luthor needs to be in this - but, maybe not quite as an outright bad guy yet. With Superman and Batman - they don't need a huge baddie - just someone to make them work together in the end. Metallo might work because he's human - with the first movie being Zod and other Krytonians, I would rather see someone Earth based.

If I were a betting man, they're going to try to set Darkseid up somehow. I don't think he'll be in the movie, but I'm sure he's the top bet for a villain in the JLA movie.

Luthor can be in this and from what has been seen in mos when it comes to lexcorp stuff it would seem like the right type of luthor. Always hated the land obsessed luthor version played in the reeves/routh movies. I dont mind Doomsday in a mos movie but would def not be suited to be the only villain. If i were to bet on this, id say luthor with metallo being his creation. Also introducing kryptonite in the progress. But then again theres quite a few villains they can go with. Parasite for example.

All the talk seems to be towards a superman villain tho. Actually wondering if were gonna maybe see a villain show up from batman.

I say lets introduce Doomsday at the end of this movie, kinda like the comics did, just hint at him busting out of the underground bunker, and save his full appearance for the next Superman movie or even make him the baddie in the Justice League movie

I just read some of the titles that Warner Bros has registered:

Man of Steel: Battle the Knight
Man of Steel: Darkness Falls
Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night
Man of Steel: Beyond Darkness
Man of Steel: Black of Knight
Man of Steel: Knight Falls
Man of Steel: The Blackest Hour
Man of Steel: The Darkest Hour
Man of Steel: The Darkness Within

I think all but maybe 2 of those are all terrible... :wacko

I like how those titles don't say anything about anything. Darkest hour? How can this next movie have a much darker hour than the last Man of Steel movie when the representation of Earth was a fiery grave with skulls galore?

I'll admit it doesn't seem like Superman without Kryptonite. If they work it in somehow I won't be disappointed. You have to have something besides dirty air to level the playing field.

Well, Superman isn't a detective or a billionaire. What would be interesting is maybe someone creating a Metallo-type machine from the remnants of the Kryptonian ships and tech that was collected from the debris of Metropolis. Somehow, the idea is planted into the media that it's Wayne-tech or that Wayne Enterprises is somehow involved. This is the in for Batman to enter Metropolis as the Dark Knight Detective. He suspects someone else (because he's Bruce Wayne and he knows his company isn't at the center of what's going on). He starts looking into Lex Corp... the company that rebuilt Metroplis at no cost to the citizens after the Zod-led battle that leveled half the city. Lex Corps isn't suspected because he controls the media and makes everyone believe his company is their savior... but he's actually using all the recovered Kryptonian tech to fund the reconstruction by making a whole new generation of weapons that he sells to the highest bidder.

They're all crap except for maybe Knight Falls... I'd just go with Knightfall (despite it being from the Bane story).

How about Superman / Batman: World's Finest

It worked in the comics. They were working together, not at each other, but still managed to tick each other off and keep one another in check. This having them at odds with each other just for the sake of it.....

I mean, they are hero's both working to the same ends.

Well, Superman isn't a detective or a billionaire.
While he's still neither the detective nor the billionaire as you mentioned, he still is an investigative reporter - while that lacks the specific skill set of an actual detective, it's not hard to imagine him having more detective skills than most - couple that with his powers and he is no slouch.

Good point. I think of that more as a cover so he can be places where Superman can just happen to show up. He doesn't exactly hav any kind of "formal" training in this. But seeing through walls and super hearing certainly gives him a leg up on his peers.

Just trying to give Batman something on Supes...

Not to single you out or anything, but I don't understand why people keep saying for this. The source material for both characters, the comic books, has already set the precedent for this. And not just in Miller's Dark Knight Returns.
