Hi
here's some pics of my Red Hood project I started in May 2011, its been my first project, I think I've spent about £250plus so far getting everything plus materials. Thought I go cosplay for Batman Live August 18th 2011 in Birmingham. Comments welcome.

For some reason some pics wouldn't upload. My 1st pep build was & Ironman template Sharkmark unfolded by Dubean33 on 405th, it did'nt turn out so good. Bought Red Hood pep file from BlackKaos which has turned out great & going with that. Attached pics are also what I've done so far for costume, jacket, top, guns, boots and plates etc

err having problem with pics uploads, check out my album on here or my blogg jasontoddredhoodprojectuk.blogspot.com

Bodyfiller and 1st sand, used Dremel and Black&Decker mouse, hopefully finish full sand and first primer coat today

Fantastic work so far ;)... I personally think this is a wonderful helmet. Did you say something about Batman in Birmingham on aug 18... is that Birmingham AL? Great job so far... cant wait to see it completed.

Birmingham, United Kingdom dude. Hoping its still on as there's been riots and looting the past few days in major cities in the UK. How's your Red Hood coming along? any new pics?

Start of the knife, based around Juliet76 (405th) Reach UNSC Combat knife, slight changes as I went along, same with the wooden handle and sheathe.
I liked the slant of the hilt/blade kept with it and wasn't sure about the hooked part of the lower blade, couldn't find any decent ref pics, its my version/homage to the blade used.

Had to add a bit more bodyfiller & to resand, shape the eye's & grooves this weekend. the pictures not brilliant but roughly how the eye's will look

Looks better and better every time. Really like the lenses for the eyes. Can't wait to see finished version!

That mask is very intimidating with the lense design you've got there. The rest is coming along extremely well also. Can't wait to find a job again so I can buy the file from Black Kaos also and take a crack at it as this is a bad a$$ helmet.

good luck and hope you find a job soon Judge Sparton. thanks for comments guys. cross fingers I plan to have the helmet finished by sunday. finishing sanding tonight

Looking good mate,
wierd I look at this thread and see you're from near my neck o' the woods, where bouts in East Yorks do you live?
Look forward to the updates.

Hey, Brough nr good ol Hull dude.

HELP PLEASE, I have a dilemma, I managed to finish work early & thought I'd do some more sanding, most of it was going well, some part are marble smooth, but I keep getting these pits in the helmet(see pic) .
1) i was thinking of coating with resin & resanding to get smooth finish?
2) using decorative cork?
3) unsure?
any advice guys ?

As you sand down the bondo you will find air bubbles. Go back to the store you got the resin and bondo from and get some glazing puddy. It will fill those small hea and any other slight corrections you need to make. It will save you a lot of time... Wish I knew about it on my first project ;)
