Hello to everyone :)

I want to share with you my finished Batman armor from the movie "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice".

The cosplay is made out of EVA-Foam, coated with 2-3 layers pva/water and 3 coats of PlastiDip.

The pepakura files are from AZTLAN.

Here are pictures from the building progress:

More pictures will follow, my connection is to slow at the moment. Sorry.

I am about 5 Feet 8 Inches tall. Yes I had to re-scale the files. My body shape is athletic and so the regular size was way to big.

Here is a comparsion between my first measuring and the second one (left perfect size) :

I'm about 5'8 too...Any chance you remember the scales you used for each piece head to toe? It would really help a lot before I start mine...

My scale factor for the torso part is 0.420059 (scales are: height 502 mm, width 324 mm and depth 357 mm and into the torso I imported all the other parts and they fit perfect except the helmet.

If you scale the torso in pepakura you can go under "FILE -> Import File" and the program imports the part you choose (like the shoulder part) and scales it automaticly to the size of the torso. So it is propotional

Here are some pics of my complete suit

Thanks for the advice! I will try that. Your armor looks great!

I'll be using 0.420059 scale/measurements for most parts...

Great build GiZam. Clean lines, beautiful paint work and the attention to detail is great. Thanks for sharing your passion with us! I'll be building one for one of my kids starting over the weekend. Question: I noticed it doesn't look like you bolted the elbow joints. are they free flowing for mobility? I'm curious because I want to make sure it's comfortable for my kid and If it makes more sense to have it free flowing rather than an actual articulating joint maybe I'll go that route.

Thank you very much :)

Yes, the elbow joints are not bolted. I like it this way and it is easier to put the suit on alone.

I think the mobility is better like this.

How long did it take to get the files from Aztlan after payment? I just ordered my set. Youve inspired me to try this!

You mentioned that the helmet didn't scale correctly. Was it too big or too small?

You get the files within 30 Minutes after payment. If you didn't receive the files after 12 hours, contact him and tell him the transaction code from paypal. I had problems too but he is very nice and helpful.

The scale factor was bigger than my torso scale, but I don't remember the factor.
When I check it now I would say it would be to small.

I started this build first with the helmet and used the door-measuring method.

I used 10 mm for all parts. Some details on the biceps and the abs are made out of 2 mm

Did you print the templates on a normal printer with a4 paper?

Yes, I did.

Here is a new picture from sunday. I had a great shooting with PhoArto (https://www.facebook.com/Phoarto/) from Germany.
