Batman Dark Knight eva Foam* Suited up*

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

Good Form! I've been researching TDK suits for the past month and this is the best that I've seen so far! I'm about to start on my own within the week. I plastered myself the other day for an accurate 'drawing board'. I'll be checking in often. Nice Work!!

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

Thanks guys, I have some parts non-foam to show to help complete the costume I'll be posting tomorrow!

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

That looks awesome! I'll bet that building it with foam also has three major advantages. One, it's affordable, two it's lightweight, and three, it's flexible so all the layers won't impede on your movement while wearing it. Amazing job.

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

Next stage will be to make the foam armour for the groin and legs, and then figure out how to anchor the foam armour onto the zentai under suit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated:)

Re: Batman Dark Knight eva Foam

How were you going to attach everything on the upper body? Is it all glued together so you can just put it over your head like a shirt? (I was going to buy black suspenders, that would be covered by most of the armor anyway, and attach the armor to that).

I picked up some black elastic and velcro at my local Hobby Lobby cheap. If it can be glued tightly to the foam, I'd imagine that might be the best way to get a tight fit.

I was planning on using velro around the wrists as well.

You could probably cut out the leg pieces individually, then glue elastic between the pieces to get the proper spacing you want. That would give them flexibility with movement as well. Then strategically place velcro on the undersuit to situate the pieces where you want them. Or, you could just use velcro all the way for each individual piece.
