Do you do anything special with it? Do you have any issues with it cracking when the foam bends during wearing? I'm working on the foam parts of Mikey's build and that's my concern with his (although I'm working with much thinner 3mm foam - so it's more of an issue).

It's looking really, really good btw!

I think its maybe the foam Im using,its a ultra resistant eva close cell foam from the automotive section at walmart,I'll post a pic of the package tomorrow. The paint almost sinks in and bends with the foam,its foolproof!
SO easy to work with!

Looks great so far. I'd heard of a soldering iron being used for detail on foam before and I'm planning on using it for a current project of mine, nice to see you can get decent results with it.

Also I would like to be a little more accurate when I posting how I etch the foam,its not actually a soldering iron but a wood burning tool!
It fits in your hand very well,like a pen! Again I bought it from Walmart for 12 bucks.

Actually this was a question I was wondering about as well. not just for this particular build, but in general about how much of the foam do you go through to make a full suit? I'm slowly crafting an idea in my noggin and I need to know about how much foam something like this would use.

This suit used about 2 rolls of foam,and for an under suit I have a friend that will be making a black custom suit that will have attachment points to connect to the foam overlay!
