Batman cowl sculpt (first time sculpting)

Hi all,

I'm actually pretty nervous about this post but I suppose I'll give it a go anyway. :D after much self doubt I decided to start a cowl sculpt. I've never attempted this before so obviously it'll turn out poor in comparison to work shown here but I'll do my best. Here are some progress pics of the sculpt. My main influences for this are the Michael Keaton version mixed with the arkham origins version.

Please please leave only constructive criticism for me to work with as I've never tried sculpting seriously before . Anyway, here's about half a days worth of work. Hope you enjoy !

You have some really nice lines going already, especially for a first go. I think you might be over critical of yourself. The nice thing about clay is that you can continually play with it. It isn't like some other materials where you have to get the shape you want quickly or your screwed (depending on the clay of course). Seems to be going well! Keep at it, it will be cool to literally watch it take shape.

I'd love to have a go at this myself sometime soon, so its great to see someone else having a first time go. Keep it up.

Hey guys, thanks all for the kind words, being 19 any nice comment helps :) just took some nice pics on my camera of a marginally different batman today. I was so busy I had almost no time to sculpt.

Looks great! The only thing I would recommend would be to build up both halves equally. I was taught that in some fine arts courses, and it helps to keep consistency within your work.
But I'm loving the design so far! Great work, especially for a first time sculptor.

hey death stroke, no real version, just kinda going with how i feel he should look :p a bit of newer jim lee stuff
