Really nice work. Just ordered my monster makers to start my first sculpt (DCUO Flash), this gives me some hope lol.

I wanted to make a mask look like how it does in the show where the mouth is covered and looks natural. I decided the way I wanted to do it was have the mouth look open in the same angular style as the show. While wearing it, my mouth will be painted black underneath to hopefully have a similar effect.

I didnt have anything like that with it so That's definitely where I went wrong. There were some air bubbles in the plaster too. I'm going to try find some stuff to make a stronger mold soon. Thanks for the help!

Today I went searching for some hydrocal or ultracal but couldn't find any at the local hardware store. So I got another bag of plaster of Paris as well as some bandage wraps to strengthen the mold. I'll definitely try slapping the plaster on this time as well to avoid those disastrous air bubbles. Hopefully the second attempt will be more successful! I'll update you guys soon.

Check your local art or sculpting supply stores they may carry the Ultracal.

So I couldn't find any ultracal till after I had already made my second mold with paris and strips (too impatient haha). I'm expecting it to be a VERY rough mask because of the plaster of paris.
Where I'm at now is the latex is drying in the mold and I will be pulling it out tonight! wish me luck

Thanks guys! So Here is the final result. It's so rough and bumpy from imperfections in the mold (could only get hold of plaster of Paris) that I feel like a scarecrow hallucination batman beyond might be a better description now haha. Also it's slightly too tight to fit me without squeezing my face so no photos of it being worn unfortunately. Anyway here is the latex mask.
