Batman Begins 1:1

Very talented Zbrush model is working on this one for me. Really excited about where he has it at this point and the modifications that are upcoming. :)

He started with some accurate scans and a particular low poly model that I have been sworn not to mention and has been able to Frankenstein those things together while adding his own interpretation and flare. Here's a teaser with more to come..

End result will be a 1:1 wearable costume.

Re: Batman Begins 3D model

Can't wait to see how this all turns out, I happen to be working on the Begins suit in a very similar fashion but with a different approach. So it's exciting to see someone else taking the same route :)

Re: Batman Begins 3D model

Thanks everyone. I'll pass on all the kinda comments to the modeler.

The TDK is pretty much done. I should be ordering prints soon. :cool

Re: Batman Begins 3D model

I keep going back on which one is more my favorite - I still lean towards Begins because of the fact its a whole body suit just like the original movies before it. Awesome work on this as usual, man!

What a long and arduous ride this has been. It has taken so many twists, turns, and misfires. I won't even get into it all. But I am happy to report that we are back on track and approaching the finish line very rapidly. :D

The title mentions "3D" and it was certainly a factor in this build but in the end it was the good old hands on work of ClintonH and his body work experience along with his incredible attention to detail that saved us. Can't sing his praises enough.

I am showing blocked shots purposely as this is what is finished at this point. ;) He will now match the other side of the abs/ribs and then move on to the arms and back. Hopefully in the next couple weeks we will be able to reveal the entire thing. In the meantime let's whet your appetiites...

And this is what the 3d printed back, spine, and knees look like. They will be spliced into the rest of the chest soon.
