I also picked up what I believe is a screen accurate Doc Brown tool pouch from eBay. It's a Klein tool pouch, model 5167. I wasn't planning to do a screen accurate Doc costume to go along with this project, but like everything else, it has snowballed. I think, though, that I will fill it with some dog-related items like a water dish and leash, instead of filling it with Doc's tools. I'll end up sourcing his tools to turn this into a nice display item once this project is finished.
Here is the pouch I picked up on eBay (which doubled in price thanks to a last minute bidding war).
And here is a screen grab and pic from ScreenUsed
I picked up the Doc Brown costume from Halloweencostumes.com, which is pretty decent, but my only gripe is that the pocket accents are orange instead of pink.
Starting to come together. Doors hinge up. Front and rear are up next, followed by hovering tires. Then it's all the bits on the back and electronics. Aiming to have it all done by Sept 12 for Long Beach Comic Con.
Body is nearly complete. The lines aren't so clean right now because it's still modular so I can tinker and paint the front, back, and doors separately.
Wheels came together nicely. Glued two 6" styrofoam discs together, sliced off a quarter to they tuck into the body, sanded the edges round, made room for push light LEDs, and painted em black. Will add tread detail next.
Electronics are next. Here's a test of one of the headlights and the Flux Capacitor well, um, fluxing.
Coming into the home stretch! Trying to get this done in time for fan appreciation day at Puente Hills Mall on Sunday.
I haven't sealed the body up yet so I can get access to add the LEDs for the headlights and taillights and run wiring to the Flux Capacitor.
Still need to add the hovering tires, add EL wire to the flux bands (the original one I bought faded already), and add some bits to the dash (speedometer & time circuits).
I also picked up this cosplay version of Doc's remote. For $60 I'm super happy with it.
Thought I'd add a lil flair to the pup sized clock tower flyers, so I had a stamp made that says "I love you!" But instead of Jennifer's number, I put my dog's Instagram (yes, yes I know). I'll hand em out to people if they take pics of him so they can tag him.
