Back To The Future Part III

A4 is standard European paper size 29.7cm x 21cm (slightly taller and narrower than US Letter), A3 is twice the size of A4, imagine 2 A4 sheets stuck together on the long edge. Sizes go up from there i.e. A2 is twice A3 etc.

Hope that helps.

Oh, and a little other request, Peter, since you're PDF's are sooooo close to the original, can you give the "Partners in Time, Septembre 1885" writing on the Photo Frame a try? Daniels version is not bad, but I'm pretty sure you can come up with an even better version. Like most people here, my handwriting / drawing skills are not good enough to hand write on the frame I have, so a printed version might just be perfect.

Here you go.

Just a note, the handwriting is not quite the same as the Western Union letters, the "e"'s are wrong.

PDF is a vector so you can scale it to suit your needs.

So are any of the letters you posted US sized?

I'm still trying to get a good reference pic for the envelope that Marty gets the letters from doc in as ive made the letters by hand so would like to have the envelope to go with them

I have added another PDF the the letters, this is just the texture so you can print onto the backs.

But this is a sign under clock's picture of Marty and Doc?
It's very nice, but I have a big problem to find a correct frame for this prop.

I believe that someone was doing a run of the frames in the junkyard not long ago, I could be wrong though.

Thank you, but I want to try to do it myself :) Maybe I can take only resin ornaments ;)
To be honest, if you're a bit handy, I'd advise you to do the ornaments yourself too (if you decide to make the frame yourself anyway). The ornaments are not 100% screen accurate. If the ornaments would be a bit better, this frame would have been as great as Gary Weavers. So if you can sculpt a bit yourself, maybe you can give it a try.

Thanks man, I have two projects started right now, but back to the future obviously has high priority.
I'm just scared of ornaments, there are very small for my skill level :)

You can give it a try, and if it doesn't work out, just buy them. Since you have to make the ornaments before attaching them to the frame, you can't do much wrong by trying. Anyway, it's up to you off course. I'd love to see what your frame looks like in the end.

You're right, sometimes I get scared for nothing :)
When I finish the adam syringe of Bioshock I will start the frame,i n the meantime will try the various materials of the frame ;)

I was watching BTTFIII yesterday, with a view to see if I could get any more detailed info on a current project of mine, the railway map.

I have a picture of the map from an auction site, but it's not quite good enough to see all the details.

Anyway I noticed that the one in the movie is different (see below), besides the colour, which could be due to lighting, the main difference is around Shonash Ravine, the Auction Map shows the bridge and a dashed line of the proposed railway, but in the movie the bridge is missing, no dashed line, plus the railway seems to continue near the bottom.

Which version do you think I should do, I'm undecided.

On a related note, does anyone have any close up shots of the map, that could help me out with wording and the inset section at the bottom right.

I'll post progress pictures soon.

In the auction I think, they say production made 2 maps. I am sure the one in the movie is not the one in the auction ...
