So I finally finished this project after being on the bench for what seems like ages.
Anyway, it was more of an experimental piece at fitting a bunch of stuff in the panels and also seeing if I could get a good unfreezing effect. I ended up trying a couple different things. To start, I used rub and buff so to allow more light through but still look metallic. Was a bit of a gamble but I learned plenty.
But in the end I want to make the carbonite piece a bit darker. Any suggestions on doing so but not painting over everything? Was thinking of using a couple layers of transparent smoke paint. Would love to hear other ideas before I go off and try something. I guess I could also scrap this shell and start again...
