Avengers Movie SPOILER Thread

I just wish they had cut holes for his ears.

:lol I'd rather have no ears than rubber ears!

Judging by early pics of the costume and concept art it looks like they did leave ear area open at first. Probably looked worse with the ears open. The whole Avenger helmet just looks too bulbous.

I think the WWII costume would've worked better with open ears - or even the helmet he grabbed for the first rescue mission.

The real question is... If he really was alive, would Coulson actually let Fury ruin his near mint set!? :lol

The funny thing was that they didn't look very mint to me. He did mention some wear on the card corners, but that wear was pretty major in my eyes. lol. But then again... 50+ year old cards have a little bit of leeway, I suppose. :lol:behave

I saw it in Joplin where the crowd was nice enough to laugh thru the Hulk/Loki scene where all the dialogue was totally obscured. Had I not known was being said I'd had no idea what was being said. But I will own it so it's ok. Probably the best Superhero movie so far.

Does anyone else cringe when they hear Samuel J. speak now? All I hear is Mace Windu wooden dialog.

For the first time in a LONG time, I actually thought SJ did a good job and actually seemed more "Nick Fury" than "Sam Jackson." To me, he has been virtually worthless ever since Pulp Fiction because he has been that same character no matter the movie. I was VERY glad we didn't get the Snakes on a Plane Sam very much in this movie and he actually made an effort to be the character he was playing instead of simply doing his same old VERY tired shtick.

Everyone laughs at that scene. I've not heard anyone who...heard it.

I saw the movie on a Tuesday afternoon at 1PM, so not many people in the theater... The few who were there laughed, but I still heard the line :)

Right there with ya, Art. I thought he did a much better job in this movie than any other he's done in a while :thumbsup

Well, we did get a little of the Pulp Fiction Jackson, which I was happy to see. I could not stand the Prequel Jackson.

I thought of Pulp Fiction immediately when I heard his line to the council.

Anyone have a larger version of this pic they can put this caption on? I want a nice printout for my office! :love :lol
