Limited Run Avengers: Age of Ultron/Civil War Captain America Belt and Harness Run

I finished up everything on my end for the belt. It'll be going out to Kevin tomorrow! Here's another teaser!

The first couple of orders are just about ready to go out (resin piece orders only so far). Some of you should have gotten shipping notifications through paypal!

Belt looks awesome but are the pouches functional? Looking for a place to keep phone, keys ....etc
Thanks for the compliment!!

They are functional however they won't be big enough for a phone. Keys? Maybe, depending how big your key ring is lol

Got Robbie's belt in the other day and sat down to do the stitching and attach the pieces. I'll be doing the pouches tomorrow. I'll show off some pics then! Getting more of the cast pieces ready to ship out this week as well!

Can't wait to see! Looking forward to getting my whole set!

Looks great! Now I want to know how far my order is down on the list. I'm getting anxious for Halloween now that we are in October, lol.
You're first in line for the full set! I'll be starting your belt asap since I know the pattern checks out 100%. I'll be getting the pieces to finish the harness once Kevin sends my belt back and I'll be able to make any adjustments needed for that then!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Hey guys. I was following over on the other Cosplay AOU costume thread. Your work and craftsmanship look amazing. I am not one to have wonky looking accessories. You can count me in for a complete set of everything. Cash in hand (paypal) i know you have a few orders ahead and were 3 weeks out from Halloween. Do you think you could have a set finished and shipped to VA by the 31st. Either way i would still like a set. also willing to pay extra for shipping if needed. Just let me know where to send the cash. Also is there still someone making the helmets? i would like to get one of those as well. Here is a pic of my shield for fun :)

Just a quick note on finishing the parts. A few people have asked about my process, so I wanted to give some tips!

The fully finished pieces will come polished and attached to the belt/harness--no need to worry about any of that! However, if you're just purchasing individual pieces or kits, the parts will come raw. Some things you can expect: minor flashing to be trimmed, light sanding on the back/bottom side, and then polishing.

My polishing process consists of three steps, but you can do it however you like/are able.

First: Cold cast pieces need to be abraded using a fine steel wool or sandpaper. I use 0000 steel wool on all my parts, but you can also use 220 grit or higher. You don't want to scratch the surface, you just want to smooth it out

Second: After steel wool, I like to use a polishing wheel with metal polishing compound on my drill press. This helps get the surface really smooth and adds some nice shine!

Third: More polish. I like to finish off the polishing process with Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. Simply wipe the cream on with a soft towel (I tend to use cut up old t-shirts), then buff it off after a minute or two. The polishing cream is basically a super-fine abrasive that adds to the smoothness and shine. The more you buff, the better results you'll get!

Question,

I had order the full kits, plus a few extra metal pieces for gloves and such. Will you guys still finish those metal pieces off? I want to make sure I have a uniform look of everything.

^ That was going to be my question as well :) since I'm also planning to order the same extra pieces for the gloves and gaiters.

Hey everyone, just a quick update! I'm still casting away at parts for orders and shipping them out in the order they were received. I've got a healthy supply of most of the pieces, but the mold for the A is really starting to degrade. If you have A's in your order (finished or unfinished) they're taking a bit longer to get through. I'm getting one decent pull to every 5 I'm casting, so bear with me.

With that said, I'm going to suspend further orders on A's for the time being until I can make a new mold. That likely won't be until after Halloween though.

On a better note, Robbie finished up his harness last night and it looks fantastic! Expect some pictures from him soon with everything all together!
