Authenticating Star Trek Original Motion Picture Model design boards and notebooks

Hey Everyone,
We were going through my wife's grandfather's stuff and apparently he worked as a Model maker on Star Trek the original motion picture. His name was Dick Singleton. We found a bunch of his design notebooks and it looks like some production shots of ships he worked on. My question is, is it worth getting authenticates and, if so, what is the process on doing so?

I see Singleton is notable enough to have a page on Memory Alpha. I second contacting Propstore, at the very least they can give guidance.
