Arrow Slade Wilson Reuther Rum Bottle

I have been working on finding Slade's rum bottle, taking screen caps as I can.
Any information on the type of bottle or the label is much appreciated.

Looks like a fairly standard size and shape of liquor bottle.

Can you tell if the little kangaroo seal is just stuck on there, or if there is an impression in the glass for it to fit?

If/when you print some of these labels, I'd love a set.

No plans for printing a label, just looking to try and piece one together.

As for the kangaroo, it is hard to tell. I'm sure either way a transparent sticker would work, or even etched glass.

If I do end up recreating the label, I would be happy to let you use it. Great job on your suit, by the way.

Thanks on both counts!

A bottle of Reuther Rum would make for a great "Arrow" display piece and conversation starter.

I found a possible bottle, the only one I have found matching the detail, "Flor De Cana."
I will keep looking but this looks like the best bet so far.

I could be wrong, but it actually looks as if there is a design imprinted on the base of the bottle. I will keep looking. :)

The bottle is clearly a Flor de Cana bottle. I have one at home. The circulate area near the top is embossed with the name of the rum. In a couple of shots in the episode you can see texture under the kangaroo label that seems to match the Flor de Cana bottle. There is also a distinctive lip near the bottom of the front of the bottle that you can see in several spots during the episode.

The Text on the labels as fare as I can tell:

The bit opposite 40% ALC/VOL should say 700ml for an Australian bottling but I can make it out.

Possible text for more of the main label after photoshopping a few snaps:

I believe it's actually a relabeled Bundaberg Rum bottle, when they mentioned "Australian rum' I knew I recognized the bottle as its what I drink. Reuther Rum is fictional obviously for legal reasons they couldn't use our actual coveted brand of rum. They simply turned Bundy Bear into a white kangaroo. That being said I would suggest the date is actually 1888 not 1783 as australia had not been settled until 1788, That's assuming that the creators of the set piece were folks of detail. Here is a link to a bottle on ebay I found, it was the 1st to come up when I searched for a pic and you can use the zoom on ebay to examine the detail of the bottle Bundaberg RUM Black 1985 VAT 100 3 Bottles 700 ML Consecutive Numbers | eBay

Based on the shape of that bottle in the ebay link (posting links to active listings is a no-no BTW), I'm going to disagree 100% with all of the above (skipping the settlement of Australia bit). Especially the logic behind the "Autstralian rum" comment meaning the prop department actually used a bottle of Australian rum as the base. You cannot take what a character says in the context of the story and directly translate that to what the prop department had in their head when they made said prop... ever. :p

Actually, the first bottles I looked at were from Bundaberg Rum.

I similarly thought *maybe* they went with an aussie rum but, having looked over their bottles it's definitely not a Bundaberg.

Styled after Bundaberg? Yeah, I'd say so with the little kangaroo instead of the little bear, but a different bottle.

I agree, it is clearly the Flor De Cana bottle, especially after seeing the insignia imprinted in the bottle. (Thanks to Chuning)

It is Flor de Cana. Believe me, as someone who has been to Nicaragua and drinking it for years, you can't mistake the bottle. BEST rum in the world!!! flor de cana.jpg

Reuther Front Label Working.jpg
So I took a stab at the front label. I am not entirely happy with the script font. I am certain it is not the one used in the original but it is close. I have not yet attempted the neck or back labels.
