Looks like a fairly standard size and shape of liquor bottle.
Can you tell if the little kangaroo seal is just stuck on there, or if there is an impression in the glass for it to fit?
If/when you print some of these labels, I'd love a set.
No plans for printing a label, just looking to try and piece one together.
As for the kangaroo, it is hard to tell. I'm sure either way a transparent sticker would work, or even etched glass.
If I do end up recreating the label, I would be happy to let you use it. Great job on your suit, by the way.
I believe it's actually a relabeled Bundaberg Rum bottle, when they mentioned "Australian rum' I knew I recognized the bottle as its what I drink. Reuther Rum is fictional obviously for legal reasons they couldn't use our actual coveted brand of rum. They simply turned Bundy Bear into a white kangaroo. That being said I would suggest the date is actually 1888 not 1783 as australia had not been settled until 1788, That's assuming that the creators of the set piece were folks of detail. Here is a link to a bottle on ebay I found, it was the 1st to come up when I searched for a pic and you can use the zoom on ebay to examine the detail of the bottle Bundaberg RUM Black 1985 VAT 100 3 Bottles 700 ML Consecutive Numbers | eBay
Based on the shape of that bottle in the ebay link (posting links to active listings is a no-no BTW), I'm going to disagree 100% with all of the above (skipping the settlement of Australia bit). Especially the logic behind the "Autstralian rum" comment meaning the prop department actually used a bottle of Australian rum as the base. You cannot take what a character says in the context of the story and directly translate that to what the prop department had in their head when they made said prop... ever.![]()
