I'm a huge fan of the Arkham Asylum games, and I love the design from the Armored Edition Batman. So I'm working on creating it from foam.

I did this part first just to have something cool actually done. The parts are heat formed and carved out of EVA foam and craft foam.

The purple is an old camp mat that I found at a thrift store for something like $3. I'm using contact cement for anywhere that has a good solid connection, and industrial strength hot glue whenever I need to fill gaps while gluing things. I kind of invented my own connection system in the back. The armor has a big spine thing, as well as the cape, so no one will ever see it.

The cowl is a pepakura model from http://www.therpf.com/f24/jfcustoms-foam-files-148889/.
