Arc Reactor Help

I am working on a custom build, but seem to have hit a snag. I have no clue how to get some decent looking 'brass rings' for the center section of the reactor.(see pic) I tried to cut them from styrene, but can't seem to get a good, smooth circle regardless of how hard I try. Any suggestion on what to use in its place? Thanks!

pvc pipes, get 3-5 different sizes and band/handsaw the ends of to attain a perfect circular ring.

Thanks for the help guys, I decided to go with the PVC pipes, a simple and easy solution to the problem (and a DUH! moment for me). I think that the rings look really good, will post some progress soon.

And I am finished! I still want to add some plexi as a 'lens' for the front, but otherwise I am pretty happy with it!
