Apologies in advance if this isn't the place for this thread, but I'm thinking it'd be useful for newbies to the propmaking scene.
I've looked through the forums, but I haven't seen anything specific to this question.
What are the differences between Aqua and Polyester resin?
I've got a Halo helmet that I resined using Poly about three months ago, and I still can't wear it due to the fact that it smells freshly resined.
I've tried letting it air out, letting baking soda do it's de-oderizing thing on the inside, and spray coating it with a clear gloss coat. All to no avail.
If I had used Aqua resin, would the smell have faded by now?
And what are the advantages of using Aqua Vs Polyester?
I've heard that Aqua is less toxic than Poly, but I'd appreciate getting some pro-tips on that!
Thanks in advance.
