APH conversion to X-wing helmet

Hey gang, I've been trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with somebody over at Richie's Armor to commission them to do their X-wing conversion on an APH I picked up a little while ago, but I'm getting no response. Does anyone else offer this conversion? What's the typical price for this sort of work? I'd be looking to make the standard weathered Luke version, BTW.

RA is your best resource. It's unusual that they do not response to query. Another source is Wakal, but he does not come to the board much any more.

I say try again with RA armor. Eventually, they will response and the work is well worth the effort.

I've not ordered from RA yet but there have been several threads on the prop board. RA is the place to go.

I believe Richie said the last time that he works 50 - 60 hours a week and does the costuming for fun when he has time. But as others have said in this thread, the work is well worth the wait.

And congratulations on the helmet. That will be incredible when it's done.

I'm not around much anymore because I'm still hiding out in the Middle East, trying not to get blown up (chance: remote) or run over (chance: high) :)

RA does nice work; they converted one for me many years ago before I figured out how to do them myself.

Another source is Bill at wilcomodels@hotmail.com He is an Air Farce guy and thus doesn't read fast, so please type slow when you write to him :lol

Richie's partner, Steve Laboyteaux, is the one who actually does the conversions. Try emailing him directly via the contact page at RA.

Wakal,

I've missed reading your posts. It's good to see you on the board.

I hope you and everyone else makes it back here soon and only dustier than when you left.
