Anyone used hellraiserbox.net?

Hi all,

I am thinking of buying a Hellraiser Sphere from Thomas Otto at hellraiserbox.net.

The boxes on his website look amazing and I've always wanted to get my hands on a sphere (so to speak) but I'd just like some confirmation (or otherwise) of his bona fides...

Has anyone had any dealings with him? Any feedback gratefully received. :thumbsup

Thanks... Dalroi.

Well, in the abscence of any feedback I have taken the plunge and ordered a Sphere.

It should take 2 weeks or so to build. I will let you know how it all turns out (fingers crossed). :unsure

I have not purchased anything from them, but I have admired the spheres for a while now. I'm looking forward to your review.

I have the screen-used one this is based off of... :) I like the unique-ness of it compared the cubes (although those are cool too). Everyone has cubes, not to many people seem to have spheres...

You have a screen used Hellraiser sphere? Cool! Be prepared for the high resolution scan requests :)

Nice to know the screen-used Sphere found a good home! :thumbsup

I originally produced boxes for myself and a few friends using etched brass and mahogany but stopped a few years ago.

Over time I've collected a few examples of the Lament Configuration including a movable "star" version and a transparent etched acrylic cube.

I'd really like to get the movable "pyramid" configuration but they are too expensive at the moment. :(

Looking forward to getting the Sphere! :p

Ha! I knew that I still had some etched brass and cubes left!

I think i'll put together a few more cubes to keep me occupied until the Sphere arrives.

Leviathan makes work for idle hands, you know... ;)

I'll take a few more pics of my other boxes when I get a few minutes spare.

There's something about full sheets of etched brass that I've always loved. Almost like they are worthy of their own wing in an art gallery.

Yes, I thought that too. :love

If I do any more boxes (have to remember who did the photoetching for me first...) I think i'll frame a full sheet and hang it in the man-cave.

I am delighted to say that, after much digging around, I have also found my own box, the first one I ever made, and my artwork (based on an original set of brass from Image Animation and re-drawn to clean and tidy it up) so a good evening in the loft has been had. :D

I just made my first box a few months ago. I know the joy :)

In case you don't have one, you can get black Rubik's Cube holder triangle things on Ebay for about a dollar each. It really adds to the display factor.

Thanks, i'll have a look for them.

I'm also looking for some glass display domes in the UK to give the display that "Hellraiser 2" feel... :cool

Well, I received my Sphere today and am thoroughly delighted with it.

The craftsmanship and quality is excellent, it has a good weight to it and comes with a custom-made stand and cerificate of authenticity (with a classy wax seal, no less!).

I will attach some photos as soon as I can get my damn camera to work...

Thomas kept in touch during the build process (each one is built to order) and packed it extemely well.

Based on my experience I would definately recommend Thomas as a person to do business with and will definately be in touch with him to order a Movable Pyramid version in the future (as soon as I have freed up some funds, that is).
