They say it’s a season 2 Comlock I would look through season 2 but I just find it too painful. :lol
These may be a bit off but remember that a lot of people paid $500 (way more on ebay) for a Master Replicas TOS Phaser that was a bit off, I still love the replica but it is what it is.
Well, I suffered through season two, and no silly vent lines on commlock.
As for MR's phaser, they got it pretty darn close -- the hand unit could have been a little fatter, but remember on MR Phaser it was METAL ... AND it had lights and sounds on BOTH the hand unit and the pistol, so even though it was pricey, it was made of better material and had lights/sound...the stun gun and comlock are plastic and non-functional. So it's really not an apples to apples comparison.
That said, I am happy they kept price down and didn't add lights/sound...although I would have paid $200 to $300 for each piece if they were made out of metal AND had light and sound action -- would have been cool to have comlock that made the little beeping noise it made when opening doors and had a light up screen AND had a stun gun with light and sound -- or even just sound.
Actually, there are a few episodes of Season 2 that weren't all THAT bad.
But for whatever reason, I loved the TONE, STYLE and general story approach to season #1. as absurd as the set up was (moon blowing out of orbit and somehow coming upon a new planet every other week -- not very plausible), I did think the first season stories were more sci-fi oriented and not a "monster of the week" type shows that season two turned out to be. In fact, I believe many of season two episodes were recycled original Star Trek Tv episodes, but with Koenig taking on Kirk's role.
But as this is a thread for the props, I'll stop my armchair critique and embrace the series for what it was. As for the props and ships and costumes and set design, I still think forst season Space:1999 was pretty fab.
