Anyone make a pot of "The Stuff"?

Such a cheesy B-rate horror movie, but such fun. :D I was wondering if anyone has ever made a replica of the pot of "The Stuff"? Looks like it wouldn't be TOO hard to do.....

If it's not been done before, anyone fancy having a go at labels for the free paper props? How feasible would it be to get it printed up on a plastic pot? Or a glossy decal?

Ahhh...1985.

"Are you eating it ...or is it eating you?"

Nice idea, Howlrunner. I have not seen anyone do this prop before. :)

I have a ripped DVD of this movie. I saw it when I was like 10 or so. Garrett Morris in his drama debut...great B flick

Man I remember reading about this movie in Fangoria a long time ago but I never saw it. I will have to see if I can find it.

Hey Jedifyfe your avatar looks awfully ronry. :p

Ahhh the early work of the Cohen Brothers.
[/b]

the stuff was made by larry cohen, not the "cohen brothers" who im assuming you meant as the joel and ethan cohens who did fargo

watchman -- i got a copy on dvd at walmart a little while back in thier bins of cheap dvds for like 4 bucks

I never knew if this movie even came out. Starlog (over)covered it at the time and I never saw hide nor hair of it again. Until now.

I remember watching this one of those weekends when I was too young to drive where after a whole day at the lake, we came in after dark and watched horror movies while eating frozen pizza and guzzling Coke.

It was a fun movie. Might be neat to have a pint in the freezer.

Oh... man.

I remember this film. I think I saw it either on VHS or at the movies (it's a bit of a blur).

Something about some miners seeing this white goop coming up out of the ground and going "Hey... That looks tasty." kinda sticks with you for 20 years :lol

I think the hardest thing nowadays would be finding a match to that shape of ice cream carton.

I'd love to see it tackled..

Right you are, my post did say that, and it was wrong. My memory of 22 year old movies, and who directed them is not what is once was. :)
I corrected my post. Thanks.

I know I have seen the clean empty carton at a regular ice cream stand so they are still made. I think it would be a good one to have :)

Dam.- I was just looking through my old issues of 'Starlog' Yesterday...
And was thinking the very same thing 'Howlrunner'.?. :)
In that issue, they were running a contest to win such prizes like- posters, t-shirt's and
other cool STUFF.. There was even a pic. of a guy spooning stuff out of a Giant Tub .
I think it would be cool idea too.
Also- I hav'nt seen the flick in like 15 years.. I do think it is time to rewatch it again.
I have to check that Wall-mart bin for a copy.

The container looks pretty close in size to a Ben & Jerry's pint.

I will go check the Walmart bin as well, thanks mez7.

The Stuff... :lol Awesome. Now all we need is one of our talented sculptors to make a C.H.U.D prop and we're all set.
mike

Don't get me started on 'C.H.U.D.' howlingwind13 :)
That one was my very first rent when I got my very 1st VCR back in early 80's. :lol
(for the young ones....) C.H.U.D.- Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers
.....commercial ends..Now back to The STUFF .

I put this together on Photoshop for the carton lid. What do you think?

I'm not 100% happy with "The Stuff" logo/lettering - the edges aren't quite smooth enough, and I'm guessing on size, but I think shrunk down and printed, it's look better. Anyone else had a go?

Anyone with the DVD able to see what the writing on the back says (small print in red/pink)?
