Anyone dealt with this costume company?

I was going to make a Darth Maul costume for display purposes only. ( For my movie room.) I don't know if I have the time to make it myself. So I found this costume. What do you guys and gals think? Has anyone dealt with them? Or should I go another route?

Costumebase is well known among costuumers. The quality varies from item to item. In general, they are known to use cheap fabrics, having simplified their patterns, sometimes not being very accurate. Some of their items, such as their flight suits, are good enough for approval in the RL and the 501st and have therefore become very popular. Other items are considered by many people to be utter crap.
Costumebase sells most of their stuff on eBay as "Buy it now .. or Best Offer" - and they often accept offers at half the asking price.

I don't know much about this particular costume, but I am convinced that it would need some modification. At least replace the "scarf"/tabards with one of crinkled fabric.

I suggest that you look for the Sith Lord Detachment of the 501st's forum and search their threads for more information.

Sorry, but that costume is terrible. Very inaccurate, and the materials do look cheap.

I would say, for what it sounds like you're wanting, that will fit your needs. If you were wanting screen accurate and/or something to troop in, I'd say look elsewhere.

My brother has a Kropsekel Maul that is considered by some to be one of the nicest Maul costumes ever created. He paid nearly $1000, but has recently fallen on times that is forcing him to sell it.

I think he'd take $750 if offered. Out of tragedy comes treasure:unsure

There stuff looks nice and I have considered ordering some things from them but I have to get the funds up. I hope to here more about them.

If you go with anything CB it will require modifications and altering, hands down. Unless you are the same strange creature from some other planet that they got their measurments from...
The jumpsuit is ok. The Han Costumes....well. i don't think I have enough room to post all the mods i had to make to get even close to movie accurate. and that was only for a couple of items I did keep from thier set....

Good luck with whatever route you go. I think Matt P. of MP productions makes a Maul belt that is pretty decent. Just don't know if he is taking orders right now.

I don't think that costume looks all that bad for $100. A quick and cheap piece to complete a display.

I probably wouldn't wear it, but to each their own.
