Anybody excited about the MR Luke blaster?

I placed an order for one this morning. I must say that I do like the 10% discount from being a CS member. It has already nearly paid for the membership with this savings.

Anybody else order one? Are we excited about this item?

I think it is great they are making this item as it saw very little screen time. But I'm not a Luke collector so I am not personally excited but I like the fact it is being produced.

Thanks,

Here are a couple of close ups, I haven't seen any pics of the other side.

Looks good, but I'm an ANH guy when it comes to OT stuff and the Han ANH blows the others away IMO; especially in the scope and flash hider areas.

I'm disappointed the flash hider is wrong.
The transistion from the straight section to cone should be much more curved.
Also the knurling is wrong again (like the Han). The knurling should be cut into the suppressor, not raised.
Hopefully the one pictured is just a prototype made quickly from a Han ESB.

I'll stick with my own. It's much more accurate.

Ditto on that Chris... ;) I like yours/mine too :D

Personally, I would have preferred the ROTJ Han blaster instead. Still considering the Luke ESB... downside is that it looks pretty darn close to the Han ESB... doe I really need two of essentially the same???

Not excited at all.
I already have fanmade one, and as best as i can tell, the one he used in the flicks is exactly the one han used, and i already got that(and you can pick those up cheap too).

Well, I guess with this little interest I have an excellent change of getting #1 in the series. :lol

This just proves that Active Projects can produce a better replica for less money if managed properly ;)

Too bad the current RPF environment isn't as conducive to APs as it used to be.

Yeah, a cheaper alternative would be to pick up the Han ESB on the cheap now and make your own mods. All you'd really be out is the plaque.

If the response in this thread is any indication, I would not be surprised if MR cancelled this item. I don't think they have ever cancelled a star wars prop once it had been offered for sale, but I know they cancelled several non-SW items due to lack of pre-orders.

It will be interesting to see what they do with this one.

I'll be getting one.

I just hope they use the same body as the ANH EE so the trigger moves.

The surpressor can always be replaced.

And those "2 model parts" that will be added to the left side will hopefully come from the V8.

I passed on this, too.

If I had unlimited room and funds I'd pick one up, but the items in my collection are already fighting for display space, and this Luke Blaster is too similar to the ESB Han. Same reason I passed on MR's new 212th Attack Battalion Helmet: not distinctive enough alongside of the other Clone Trooper buckets MR already released.
