Any thought on this First Avenger Captain America suit on the internet?

Personally it's not one I would go for. It looks too baggy and bugs me that the stomach isn't tapered. But I'm sure it's something that would work as a good affordable base suit, and could always be modified to look more accurate. I like the shoulder sections, those are tricky to put together

Wondering too how well that suit will match up. Still waiting to see if that suit from the link will come near my size as I am thinner than the XL sizes but stand at 6ft tall.

Thanks Shellhead for taking the plunge. How much did you get it for? Or was it from that same eBay seller? I agree, from the pictures, that jacket seem to heavy for it to work out.

Well, that's the real kick in the noggin' really. When the cosplay suit (and it IS from the same seller on EBay) first came on the internet shopping scene, it was over $200! Ugh! Now it's over 50% less than what I paid for initially!
Those are the breaks, though. I didn't think I had much option to wait too much longer if I was going to get this project in the works. The taylor I took it to should have the jacket done by week's end. I'll hope the adjustments prove worth it.

Here is the promised photo of how to reinforce your shield. You could cut up a steel saucer and mount the straps like the movie and game shield.
If you like the plastic shield use the gray 3m auto body tape and if this is temporary then use the white 3m "Command" strips. Then you can remove it to mount on a steel or Aluminum shield in the future.
The one buckle shown was done but hand and the inside still needs cleaned up. Steel ring is painted black to keep from oxidizing. Hope this helps.

Hey guys, looks like this costume is selling everywhere but the smallest size is XL which chest size is 42-46 and waist is 38-42. That is too big for me. Has anybody bought that costume yet?
