Anovos Stormtrooper.... thoughts?

I am using sheet metal sheers to trim the pieces. Sanding and polishing the edges with round sander drums on my Dremel tool. What technique are others using with success? Are you assembling with Superglue or E6000 or other?

cutoff wheel to trim and round sanding drum to cleanup. I dont trust sheers it could twist and crack the ABS.

Question. Has anyone received the ribbed collar with their armor or is that supposed to be shipped with the suit/gloves? Please let me know. Thanks.

Mine is in the UK at the airport according to FedEx......in UK in UK.....:)

Just notified it's made it 1550km of its 1600km journey! The poor little thing is going to be plum tuckered out when it gets here. Now all that's left is for Canada Post to take it those last 50km....which will take them approximately a week.

E Williams is right. It's in the bag with the velcro bits and pieces. One size fits most.

I wish they'd start getting the soft goods out soon...

Box knife to score and snap (sometimes using similar shears as yours to assist with thick corners), then clean up on bench-mounted belt sander. Dremel and hand needle files for detail work.

E6000 is the only glue that should touch these suits, IMO...

Is that this?

I was able to score a Stormy through a trade deal which has made my day, week, and year as I had to cancel my Tier 1 last summer when the car died. It arrived today and I love it.

Anovos had done a great job and I could not be happier. I have been hard on them for their TFA Stormy helmet problems, delays, etc. but they have made up a lot of ground with this bad boy.

Now I have lots to learn about building this thing.

Will do. Lots to do and learn but man what a great time. I really needed a boost.

I am gonna use the Dremel. I am good with it and not nuts about the sheers idea. Makes me nervous.

I am ordering the Boots as soon as my size is back in stock and I ordered my Mannequin.

Then I am starting on my Airstrip Sterling and gonna track down a real M38 and Hengstler.

Also need to track down a Russ Rep metal Grappling hook. Yep, mine is gonna have both the Thermal Detonator and the Hook.

Plus I need a comlink.

And I was this close to giving up this hobby :)

Thanks

Tom

Mine just came in, the helmet definitely needs work. Is anyone else's velcro straps coming off? I was thinking I'd just take out the eye glass and helmet bracket and let the velcro adhesive cure without any pressure.
