Anovos Stormtrooper.... thoughts?

Looks like they have lowered the second tier price for the kit ensembles. Previous to today the website stated the second tier price was to have been $650 after May 4th. This morning they are pricing it at $450 until preregistration ends. Still a great buy if you missed out on the $350 price.

Well I've been sucked in - How do you pass that up? I've paid more for my Star Trek TOS Boots! Speaking of boots who has good Stormtrooper boots out there for a reasonable price?

the funtasma TK boots have got a seam down the front centre, so not 100% accurate

You're clearly not one of the people doing a HS MF mod :lol Anyways, check out the interview - it's worth it just for hearing their approach, some cool stuff. Towards the end Heath talks about the plastic they were showing off at LAST celebration (I think clone troops), and how you can basically bed the stuff in half without it cracking, but that it was painful to work with for those reasons.

No I'm scratch building mine instead, much more fun :lol

Vote now!!! Which of you are planning on joining 501st with this purchase? TK WannaBees come forward and be recruited!!! If 501st will have us.....~?

^That's my main motivation for getting this kit. Cost has so far been the only thing in the way of me trying to build a suit and join up.

I figure at least this will get me started and I can make some modifications if necessary rather than starting from scratch.

I plan on joining the 501st once I get this kit up an going. So psyched I got an order in before the May 4th sale was over!

Hate to be a "me too" but I bit on this as well. I literally pushed the buy button at 11:59 CT. My wife originally told me "no" several times today but with my 50th coming up, she gave in. Really looking forward to this. Our local group was split on whether this was Stunt or Hero. Maybe the Anovos rep on here could enlighten?

There was a fun discussion on our local group about this deal. Lots of folks want to join the 501st. I do as well. One of the group members stated that the 501st wants you to put "sweat equity" into your suit and not purchase a kit. He pointed me to whitearmor.net. However, when I went over there, there were many 501st members talking about how many of these suits they ordered for their second or third (or fourth) suits. So that gives me a little hope that this suit, if built correctly, will be appropriate.

I pre-ordered the kit last night. I blame darthwhitey for pulling me to the Dark Side...

Moooooohahahahaha....

Welcome to the world of the RPF Dano!

As a good buddy here once told..."check your wallet at the door!"

Looking forward to assembling these kits with you!
