I've seen other pics where it looks great on the Sith Lord Detachement forums. Fit on the wearer is important too, almost as much as the costume itself. I'm sure we'll have Vader experts come in and give an fair appraisal before long...

I'm going to use my TK manaquin that i was going to use for the storm trooper for vader. I'll see if i can get it assembled properly in the next few days when it comes monday.
i'm curious how much wrok is needed to make it true to say esb.

The FO TK and OT TK kits may be selling decently. I just don't buy the claims that they aren't shipping items that are in stock because they don't have the funds until they make more sales. It is most likely cheaper to ship them than to store them for very long.
I don't think there is as much interest in the FO TK as there is in the OT regardless of price. It doesn't help that the FO TK costs more and is more difficult to build.

That's great, can't wait to see those! I think there's at least one person who's gonna try for 501st approval over the weekend. So between that and your pictures, we should have an idea fairly quickly where it stands...

This is a good point, as far as I know they're pretty good with doing refunds once things get bad enough.
Unfortunately not an option for me though, since it's taken so long, the £800 I paid in January (pre-Brexit) is worth a LOT less than the £800 I would receive in a refund now(post-Brexit.) Last I checked it's about a $150 loss.

I'm not going to speak to the accuracy as I'm not really knowledgeable enough but I saw both the EFX Vader and ANOVOS Vader at NYCC today. Unfortunately I don't remeber which was which, but I assume the EFX one is the cheap version and the anovos was the premier version (least I hope so). The ANOVOS one looked considerably better. The EFX one basically just looks like it was made of plastic. It doesn't look painted or anything, just the raw material and IMO that hurts a lot.
Also the anovos dome is certainly quite shiny. Also the EFX falcon is tiny :| Really wish that one day they will release that mcquarrie trooper helmet
The anovos death trooper helmet looks pretty nice too, but not long enough? Dunno the grill felt kinda short... but that's just quickly eyeballing it. Their lenses pieces also aren't very dark, I could see through the other side.
I was a bit disappointed in the premier tie pilot helmet as well :/ I think it looks better in images than in person, but still quite nice (the lenses also not very dark).
The phasma helmet looked great though, hopefully she actually has a real part in the next one

Are you sure it was an Anovos Death trooper? I don't think they have announced any R1 items yet. As far as i know it´s not unusual thinner than other trooper helmets and armor, at least those that are more on the accurate side. Off course there are also thicker ones.
Thought the box was empty when it showed up. Much thinner and lighter than expected. Looks great and Very grateful it showed up.

Woof, I've yet to pull a trigger on any Anovos products, has it really been that long for some folks to get the things they ordered? Has Anovos been responsive or dodgy to your inquiries?
