ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

You mean all the merchandise from other companies that actually made it onto the shelves and to fans in a timely manner and did not have to use the lame excuse that Disney/LFL are just so mean.

Yes... I see them. :D

shushhh penfold!... you'll get the reputation of a constant grump and people will come after you for it ;o)

I'm sitting here waiting for my Snow trooper to be delayed again. No updates of significance since them sourcing fabric... yeah.. getting mad again.

I was referring more to products from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

What would be Anovos's motivation be to not ship items that are complete, sitting in their warehouse, and have received all of the approvals? The simple explanation is that the reasons provided by Anovos about approvals are accurate. We don't know for sure who needs to make those approvals.

If they have all (how do you know?) ready to go, why should they ship a single size, letting other sizes sit on the shelves - knowing the people that ordered other sized will be pissed?

We´re at a point where they can do whatever they want/can - some people will complain.
They had issues with shipping white TK kits to people who ordered Shadowtrooper kits. Maybe they are trying to reduce the likelihood of shipping the wrong size to a customer by only shipping one size at a time. Another possibility is the items are stored in the warehouse by size. It would be more efficient to ship them by how they are stored instead of running around the warehouse.

The only way the lack of funds theory would make sense is if they had some recent product go up for sale to create an influx of funds. I don't see any of the recent announcements being huge sellers.

And yet the toys that's everyone wants is Krennic oh yes an officer
Is that because of actual interest in the character or perceived scarcity? Collectors interest in toys in many cases is based more on rarity than the character. I bet kids will still be much more interested in other characters. Do you think there will be more Vaders and stormtroopers for Halloween or Krennics?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Anovos offered a Krennic costume. This would be a different costume than the OT Imperial Officer because Krennic's is different.

In overall sales, I don't see Krennic or any Imperial Officer products selling anywhere near Stormtrooper, Vader, or Death Trooper products. I'm not saying there is no interest in officer products, just that it is much lower.

In my experience they're more of the same. Ordered a completed TIE commission at the beginning of January, and was told it'd be about 10 weeks. That was about 9 months ago, now... Had an extremely difficult time getting any sort of response about status, updates, etc until a few days ago, when they said it'd ship early next week. We'll see. Between my Scout and the TIE it's not the first "next week" I've been told.

Seems there's delays no matter where you turn, at this point.

That may be it.

Anovos uses a 3 rd party warehouse now in which that warehouse ships only Anovos products on a certain day :facepalm

As always please feel free to jump in and correct me Jose.

or you know, it could just be the logical option that they only can ship so many at a time and it's stocked based on size so they just grab the easiest batch to get too and slap a label on it and ship it out....

They just released the standard line FOTK--I'd imagine they hoped it would do as well as the OTTK (and it may have).

The place shipping stuff out of LA? God I hope that's not right. I guess once they have my money it doesn't matter to them when it ships.

I don´t think so. Sure, some will have ordered, but only few posted "i did it". When the OT was released there was much more of that.

May be different in some parts of the US, but here in crowded europe storage space is expensive, so everyone tries to get paid items out asap to be able to use the free space again.

That's because they were 375 bucks. The first FO kits were 2250. So it's not a huge shock which got more initial interest.

When the standard FO kits hit at 550, the question was what's the difference. The difference is the premiere kits are being made in the US and on the quick, whereas the standards are identical, but made in china and not on the quick.

If i would have to bet ..... another difference is that the OT shipped to EU (for example) for 160. Now the shipping for the FO seems to be 475. That´s a definate dealkiller for many outside the US.

Shipping is a killer. I have a friend in the U.K. that can send me a box for five pounds. I ship the same box back at the cheapest usps rate and it's $32.

I ordered a Tie Pilot helmet from RS over the summer and was told it would ship in 4-5 weeks. At the 8 week mark I hadn't heard from them so I sent an email saying either I wanted the helmet shipped that week or a full refund. They couldn't guarantee that it would ship in time so they agreed to give me my money back. Wasn't happy about the way they handled the helmet commission, but at least getting my refund was an easy process.
