ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

No mention of the Y-wing pilot helmet, that's a bummer. But I guess it's not a big surprise, either. It definitely wasn't the best replica I've ever seen and the greeblies were way off, but I was interested in one, anyway. With a little cleaning up and some new greeblies it would have looked pretty neat.

I hope they offer the Death Star Gunner helmet as a standalone and reconsider the Imperial Navy officer helmet as well. I would think they get more orders for the helmets instead of the whole costume. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm gutted about the INT helmets too. Like most Imperial Navy Troopers my current helmet is in serious need of an upgrade and like most, I already have the 2 piece uniform and the jumpsuit. I would have jumped at the chance to pick up one of the 'cheese-graters' but I've had to settle for ordering a pair of the officer caps.

Anovos offers the (black) Imperial officer uniform package - Standard Line - for $500 - I guess that is the final list price... Does anybody know how much the respective "Tier 1" price for that lot was?

There could be legit reasons for it. I don't know enough about the Ren outfit to say for sure. But, rare/hard to get fabrics, etc can drive up a price. Actual leather, etc. The vader outfit was like 2500 with a faux leather suit, but like 4900 i think with a real leather one for example.

If people think things are going to come in at the Tier 1 trooper price all the time, they're delusional.

The $2600 price includes the helmet so it's not entirely soft goods, w/o helmet it's $2k. Even for a fabric costume that pricing isn't unreasonable, considering their offering is based on the SU costume, and there are fabric materials that can cost an arm and a leg as already mentioned. I'm expecting the FO trooper fully assembled offering to be priced over $2k and higher than the OT trooper pricing, as Anovos is more or less the only major player in town for TFA costumes.

Having been involved with prototyping this, I can tell you the costume is really nicely made, far better than any replica costume I have seen before. The fabric was custom made to match screen used Ren costume

The Kylo soft parts are not easy. If you've not made the costume yourself, you may not know. But there is a ridiculous amount of pleating, the top coat is not a production material and has to be custom made, and the fabric is all coated with a weather resistant wax-type coating. It's not like they just went out and got a couple yards of poly-cotton fabric and rammed it through a sewing machine.

33 days till the end of Q1. Will Anovos deliver the Solo holster rig or will there be yet another extension? What is Vegas saying?

The guys still waiting on the Luke Bespin fatigues have been waiting the longest. Do you know that Star Wars: TFA started filming (Principal photography began in Abu Dhabi on May 16, 2014) and was released within the wait time of the fatigues (pre-order started May 4, 2014)? That's great trivia right there. Hang in there guys!

Dang, when you say it like that, it's crazy lol. I'm not expecting the Bespin for another year...

I see where they've delayed the shipping date for the holster rig until Q2 2016.

Wow, what the heck is going on. One minute they're all ready to ship out pending packaging approval and the next thing you know it's delayed several months again.
