ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but doesn't NECA have a reputation for making overpriced brittle products that break easily? At this point I don't trust any company to be able to deliver on high end licensed Star Wars costumes. That's why I'm all about fan made stuff!
In an alternate reality, The Wand Company started designing, providing regular updates, and making FOTKs under their license acquisition that are built like a brick poop house - as well as TOS and TWOK soft goods. I would have all my outstanding orders, and buy from them again. For now, will wait and see what happens from here.

edit - and also agree about fan made items, I have mentioned a few makers who have provided great product over the years, and will buy from them again

I've always thought that most of the helmets and armor were sitting in warehouses in China because Anovos couldn't pay the manufacturers. Rubies has the money to get that stuff out. Still, I'm not holding my breath.

This really is the biggest dumpster fire I’ve ever seen here.. they don’t owe me anything but I have sat back and watched countless people asking where their stuff is for years..

some have invested thousands and thousands of dollars into product.. and delivered zip

customer service ignores their questions or even their requests for refunds.. and the lucky ones who did get refunds had to jump hoops in order to get it

totally unfair and I feel for you guys..

I seriously hope this turns around for all of you, because you have all been patience..

Thanks Halliwax.

Don't get me wrong. I want everyone who paid ANOVOS to get what they paid for, but I don't forsee this new company announcement to be a good sign either considering the companies at play. I would love to be proven wrong, but history has yet to do that with these companies who get the Star Wars costume license.

There must have been some kind of transfer of funds that Anovos received or Denuo Novo is Anovos renamed. I can't imagine a totally separate company agreeing to take on filling so many back orders unless they received the money that was paid for those orders.

I agree

Well damn, now I'm starting to feel some hope again that maybe one day I will get to see the product I ordered almost 6 years ago.

So Anovos is done then, at least with Star Wars? Completely crapped the bed with the license and now a completely different company (NECA) has to finish what they started?

I checked the ANOVOS website just to see if they were even offering any Star Wars products anymore and they have a ton of stuff listed on Interest lists. Including ones I never knew they offered from the outset which makes me think this is a restructuring of the company.

Clearly the news of this Deuno Novo has zero mention of ANOVOS joining the effort, but the similarity in names as well as the wealth of promised product from ANOVOS really makes me wonder if this is some sort of restructuring of ANOVOS itself.

I'm very, very skeptical. Either way I hope everyone gets their money back in full and abandons these licensed companies. Fans do it better and always have.

"They also plan on fulfilling many of the existing orders of Star Wars replica and high-end collectible products originally produced by Anovos Productions."

1. Sure buddy.
2. Define many.

Denuo in Latin means again, a fresh beginning. Drop the A and the S at the end of Anovos, add Denuo in front of it and voila.
Even if this was legit, anything resembling Anovos is bad marketing. Might as well call it Newnovos.

Good effort on the logo though. Very new and fresh.
Define plan.

I’m just going to drop this here

Third time is a charm so I'll wait for Trinuo Novos

Rubies and NECA... 2 of the worst replica makers out there. Why would this be a good idea to anyone? All NECA prop replicas are inaccurate garbage with the only saving grace being that they're affordable... for kids.

There hasn't been any Star Wars items added to the Anovos website in a long time. I think the last item added was the new Shoretrooper helmet in September 2020.

Certain items like the Jango Fett and Commander Gree Clone Trooper helmets have only been Interest List. They did not collect any money for those. I signed up on the interest list for those when they were put on the website and have received no communication or invoices for them.

They have a Han Solo ANH outfit. That is new to me. Even if these things are interest lists alone, it shows they have no intention to stop developing product and if they have enough money to develop a prototype then couldn't they have used that money to fulfill backorders?

Even if the Shortrooper helmet was added in 2020, it still means that they are again, developing new product enough to have a prototype to drum up interest. Those funds could have been spent filling long overdue orders.
