ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

If you go back through this thread, you will see I was very critical early on of Anovos. I think a lot of people thought I was over reacting and being difficult. But still, everything I said back then, I feel is still true today. However I feel that for those to remarks to stay strong, I cannot pick and choose my various experiences. To that end, I do have a good experience to report.

Thirteen days ago, I took advantage of their in-sock sale to purchase the Imperial gray/green officer hat. I had been needing one as a display piece and my efforts to find a fan made one either led me to inferior design, incorrect color, or too expensive. I had hoped that with them being in stock recently, Big Bad Toys or Entertainment Earth would re-list it for sale... but they did not.

First things first. I would never ever ever again give Anovos money for a preorder. I did it for the Solo gun belt when it was first listed and I vowed never to go through that again. I know that in-stock purchases have been problematic for some currently and in the past so I made a point of putting a 30 day reminder on my phone so as to contact the credit card company for a refund should I not have any shipping notice by that point. Six days after payment, I got notice from USPS that a label from the city Anovos is located had been created. Another three days later (six days since payment), I got notice form the USPS that they had the package accepted into the postal system. And sevens later (13 days after payment, I had my package in hand.

As some are aware, the imperial disk for the hat is back ordered. I knew that prior to purchase. However, I was pleasantly surprised that as a place holder, they did include a Rogue One Imperial Logo hat disk for free. That was unexpected and made me very happy. Very happy with the hat as well. So all around a very good experience.

In summary, I still recommend that no one ever pre-order any thing. If you do feel the need to, ensure their stated ETA is within the time frame that you can make a claim to your credit card company. If you do not have shipment notification at that point, you need to bite the bullet and call your credit card company and get your refund. Do not fall for the "it will be out next quarter" response. Same with the in-stock items, if they do not ship within a couple weeks, contact the credit card company. Do not trust them anywhere outside the parameters of what your CC company can protect you. My main preference is still to look at trusted places like Entertainment Earth since they do not charge you till shipping and do not require non-refundable deposits but unfortunately they do not carry every product.

i preordered a TOS tunic in March, which were due from the new Texas facility, two weeks ago i got an email that a fresh stock of TOS tunics arrived and are "in stock", with less and less available each day. Think my order has been fulfilled?

Meanwhile in the interim two weeks, a flash sale on accessories happened and i ordered two TOS command patches. They were delivered yesterday. So i dont know what to tell y'all or what to think right now.
 
So you've been waiting for a 7 month old previous order to be fullfilled when you know they have them in stock and then you go and give them more money? No wonder they **** everyone over. People keep giving them their money for new stuff when they havent even received old orders. Some of you guys deserve exactly what you get...or dont get.
 
I am certain that hanging out with Jose and Dana in person, with a couple drinks to clear the air, would result in the most tedious of experiences with two individuals who could, at most, drum up a sense of history dating back to the late 1990's and a knowledge of science that extends to the recipe for ice.

Go ahead, argue with that.

You can't.

So, Mara Jade's Father had his recent in-stock experience. Here’s mine:

Two weeks ago I transferred the funds from a years old unfulfilled order to an “in-stock” item. I had no trouble in getting store credit from the old order and placing a new order- that all occurred within a day.

Two weeks later, though, and no sign of movement on the in-stock item.

Take from that what you will. My sense is everything still remains a crapshoot, and dealing with a third party, or better yet another company, is your best bet. I’ll post updates as things happen. And as I said above, I’m curious to hear from anyone else who ordered one of the recent in-stock items, including any helmets since the Royal Guards.

As I am no longer an Anovos customer I can say that I have invested with KB Props for my FOTK kit and Darkside Costumes for my Kylo Ren. I couldn't be happier with these two companies. Communication the entire time 50% deposit with KB and now 5 weeks later i have my entire TLJ FOTK with helmet in heavy ABS. In a few weeks I will have my Kylo.

And JUST like junkies - everyone you know who keeps behaving like this, being nice, and saying they will pay you back soon - is a junkie.

Anovos meth heads just, again, after saying they were clean this whole time, pushed everything from Q3 into Q4...

because they have changed so much.

Not that I have been stupid enough to plan anything Anovos for Halloween but this will make 5 GUTTED HALLOWEENS.
 
It will end - they will declare bankruptcy and then one of two things will happen:

1. Your money is gone and products are destroyed or...

2. Your money is gone and you see great photos of someone else wearing your costume because someone saved it from destruction and sold it.

One of these will happen as refund is clearly out of the question.
 
I requested the funds from my FOTK order be turned into store credit so I could order the "in stock" Royal Guard helmet, just to get away from this mess, still waiting for my store credit almost two weeks later. Now they're out of stock again of course.

I see they moved the Kylo Ren again - I knew they wouldn't be satisfied with only bumping it 15 quarters beyond its original date.
My longest delayed item was fully paid for 1150 days ago (and I know some people here have been waiting longer than that).
It's like fully paying for an item today and still not having it by November 22nd 2023. Awesome...
