ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

If that's true, I applaud this board for not censoring this thread the way Anovos censors everything on Facebook.
Don’t be too quick to pat Artis on the back. He’s deleted several comments I posted months ago when the first sniffs of trouble were on the horizon.

We did indeed remove some of your previous posts that contained falsehoods and if you continue to unnecessarily stir the pot with misinformation/fabrications you will be willingly giving up your access to this community.

No need for applause as it is not true.

We have always tried to minimize censoring posts and allow people to speak their mind (as long as those posts comply with the Community Guidelines) but as I posted above, if a member is purposefully stirring the pot with false claims, we will unapologetically remove those posts.

My preorder from November 2017 is only for $550, so it wouldn't be worth it as far as the lawyer fees are concerned to throw my name into the pot.

I remember being an avid supporter of this company from the very beginning. They were quick to deliver and easy to contact with questions and such.

I've been in the hobby long enough to remember the rise and fall of ICONS and Master Replicas. I really believe that companies like this cannot be sustained due to the high ticket items, limited releases and a niche customer base. A company like NECA, for example, thrives because in addition to select "replica" style items, they pull in profits from a wide variety of inexpensive products that have a wider appeal and affordability for the casual collector.

Anovos started because of a passion for props and costumes. I don't think those involved have lost their passion but clearly things had grown far beyond their control after obtaining the Star Wars licenses.

I almost shudder when I see social media posts advertising a new pre-order. I shake my head in frustration when I see a fully stocked Gakaxy's Edge shop with all those preorder items not fulfilled to customers that have been waiting literally years for.

No...He was contracted to do work for ANOVOS...he just happen to be a 501st member .

Does anyone happen to have the Disney email address of the people that can deal with licensees.
I tried Chris Holm at LFL but never heard anything back.
Thanks

I'm wondering if unfulfilled orders will start to ship now. I've lost hope for a refund (I actually started the refund process back in November. I never got my money back) and I certainly cant afford any legal fees to throw my name in the class action pot (and I'd hate for it to come to that anyway) so my only last hope is perhaps a court order or Lucasfilm demand that all outstanding orders be fulfilled.
It's just a massively insulting to see these items stocked and sold at Galaxy's Edge.

I'm in a similar situation. I have been waiting since October for a refund. Emails sent and very few replies all postponing my refund or asking if I want something else.

My concern is the legal fees as well. I understand that if they win that Disney and Lucasfilm would be paying them. However I don't think I want to take chances with those.

I have emailed Chris Holm to no avail as well. Thus far it looks like I am without much hope.

Yeah, it is very frustrating.
My preorder is $550. Legal fees is a base minimum in the 6 to $700 range. Even if the settlement awards damages, I might not even make it out with my full amount.

Have you contacted the Pawn to confirm the legal fees? Being a class action case, the handling of fees is probably different than if you sued Anovos yourself.
I'm glad to finally see someone take these scammers to court. I hope the Pawn wins and this brings about change with the prop companies. Outside of MR; the prop community has had nothing but a history of licensors that are just interested in taking your money and not shipping product.

For collectors, this would mean that it may be a very long time (if ever) before we see licensed, accurate, high-end costumes and prop replicas manufactured on this scale for many of the genre properties that Anovos has licensed.

It seems GE is going to go a long way to give us a lot in regards to this.

Question to attorneys regarding attorney fees:

“Because my amount is just under $600, will your fees exceed this amount? Sorry, as I am just unclear how this all works.”

Response from attorneys:

“No, if we succeed the minimum you will receive is the amount of the purchase. Under no circumstances will you lose money”
