I did some research. DC motors cause a negative spike of voltage when winding down. This explains the hiccup on the audio.

Seems all I would need then from research is a diode in parallel with the motor terminals.

Still, I won’t risk it. I will power the fan separately as it is a very simple fix!

This is true for -all- motors... (and all PCB's/boards)..

Diode to +/- lines.

Twist one in before soldering to see if it helps.

Oh. Well it’s 5 parts that fit seamlessly together. I uploaded to shapeways but base price was nuts! Like $180 total. Forget it.

No, the center piece of your redesigned radiator.



Honestly If the radiator was offered on Shapeways I would buy it. The price of this kit is low enough where air could justify the significant upgrade.

Note: I am waiting for my kit to arrive to start purchasing all the extras. Just been using this thread as a reference while planning. And what a great reference it has been. Thank you for all the tutorials you have posted here.

Thanks for the advice on contacting @el_rocketeer about the radiator. I was able to get one for a reasonable price. I also got all the parts you had available on Shapeways. Infact, I have everything needed except the jet pack itself. It’s on the way, but it’s been sitting at the orgin post for a couple of weeks. Can I ask how long it took to get to you once it was sent?

The guy 3-D prints them after the order; and it even says on the etsy shop that it will take 3 or 4 weeks to ship out. With the corona craziness shutting everything down and international postage slowing to a crawl; frankly who knows how long it will take to get to you. I feel your pain though. I bought a 1/6 figure from Hong Kong and there hasn't been any movement since 01 April.

It took about 20 days to Ohio. He is a very reliable source. I ordered additional flaps cause I had messed mine up and sent promptly.

Update. Radiator painted. Will treat it for brushed look and place magnets for securing. More pics soon.
