Another Star Ship

:eek:eek

EVERY DAMNED TIME! every time I check this thread I am in awe.

Keep it up yuumi-san!! :popcorn:popcorn:popcorn

Awesome looking work so far.
I too am amazed at the creative process that is working out to be a great looking ship.

This build shows an amazing degree of "backwards thinking", which is to say starting with a visualization of the end result, and building backwards to the beginning, anticipating the problems in reverse! Quite an admirable skill you've got, there!:thumbsup

Thanks for looking?!? Thank-YOU for sharing!!!! That stair-way is just... it's... UGH!!!!! How in the HELL do you come up with some of this stuff?!? I simply LOVE your imagination and creativity. Did you actually consider making the ramps wide from an engineering stand-point, or is that just coincidence? I can just see little people scurrying about the ramps hauling mobile platforms of parts, materials and cargo to load onto the ships or remove supplies... brilliant! Thank-you. :thumbsup

Thank you very much, Cadeus-san.

I wanted the wall looks something different from the other detailing of this ship. I wanted some pattern there. Then the idea of putting the stacked slopes on there had come up.

All the best!

Thank you for your strong support, Madmikeee-san.
I'm so cheered up by your comment.

How do you do it, Katsu-san? I am blown away by these micro details! This is beyond incredible.

Thank you very much, Randy-san.
At the first place, I've tried to use the exacto knife to make those slopes.
I used 0.5 mm thick sheet plastic strips but the knife cutting warps the plastic strip. Then I happened to think that the nibbller might work.
I practiced several times until this came to be made good.

Awesome looking work so far.

Wow! you are describing the whole thing I used to do for build! LMFAOSchwarz-san. And thanks for the wonderful praise.

All the best, my friends!!

Today, I had 2 and half hours for build. So, I started to build the lower side of the nose section.
I want many bits for this place.

Then I tried to use that scored plates to make it easier and quicker.

score sharrow with the knife.

Then put the masking tape on.

KC460620.jpg

Cut up to appropriate length and put the super glue on the edge.

KC460621.jpg

Then peel off the masking tape and apply wherever you want.

KC460622.jpg

When the glue was dried........

When you get used to it, you don't even need any masking tape.

This is the result of 2.5 hours. I don't know it's really faster than the usual way, but it was fun to do!! :lol

Thanks for looking

That looks like a ton of work ....the result is worth it though, it looks great.
Do you have this all in your head a s a finished product or are you working off a drawing you did?

Keep up the great work.

Hi! Thanks for looking, Mobius-san.
I'm working on this with some rough sketch and vague image in my head.
Some details are still not fixed.

Katsu

some things that may be in flux may have solutions not yet thought of ....your doing a fine job of it.

I am thinking of doing something like this as well and it is fun to see this project as it progresses and finds itself.

Will you be making some small figures of people for scale at all? It may bring it to life even more.
Thanks,
Mobius

That's sounds great! Which means I can enjoy your another star ship coming up!!

When I finished to built 3 foot star ship a couple of years ago, I was trying to make some small figures for about 1/350 scale(I haven't made it yet). The size of the figure will be about 5mm. This time I may have to make 1/3500 scale figure if I try. I need a microscope!:lol

Thanks!
Katsu

I have been learking on this thread from day one, but till now have not commented as I could find nothing to express how amazing your work is.

Found a few today: "thaumaturgy" - performance of miracles and "selcouth" - rare, strange, marvelous, wonderful.

I enjoy every post.

Regards

Ozzy

Wow! Thank you very much for your comment, Ozzy-san and I'm so happy and grateful to hear you keep looking and enjoying my build since the beginning.
Thank you, Thank you very much!!

Katsuhiko

Very nice work. I am impressed, of course. As crackerjazz said, a trip to Japan would have to include visiting you. Of course I have always loved Japan. If I could afford it, I would spend a year in Japan, just watching the sword-smiths. You have a cultural heritage that is nearly un-matched, anywhere in the world. That heritage certainly shows itself in your work.

Awesome detailing, Katsu (y)thumbsup:thumbsup Makes me want to visit Japan and watch you work on it.

Thank for looking and you are always welcomed!!

Thank you very much for your kind comment, Cadeus-san!
Please visit Japan someday soon. This is a very small country but there is a lot more thing other than you've seen on the Youtube movie to amaze you.

This thread is keeping me in a constant state of amazement. I love the stairways at the end of the hanger deck!

Thank you very much, Tom-san.
That hanger wall was too small for me to do something better but I'm happy if you like it!

Whoa!! Nice job there!!

Thanks, Dave-san!!
