Another Star Ship

As for paint Katsu-san. How about a retro-futuristic approach. Use that kind of "peach" color with some brilliant white and maybe a bright blue, orange, or red stripe or design.

Replace the black bottom with that peach color you showed and the top half white maybe?

I love the coincidence that it happens to be a Japanese site :lol

:lolWhere did you get this pic? It says, The Flying Mammoth Cruiser.
This is an imaginary picture of hover craft for the strait of Dover.:lol
Hover craft ferry service for the strait of Dover was started on 1966.
So this picture must be issued nearly 50 years ago.

OK, I found the source.

Yahoo!??? - ????

It says this picture was for the juvenile magazine issued in 1964.
The year of Tokyo Olympic. I was only seven.
Check the advertisement pics below. Chewing gum 10yen (10 cents):lol
And the next one is the Hot Top of Mattel!:lol

AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MIKEEE-san!:angry
You added another idea to my long list of considerable paint scheme.
Huuuuuuummm:confused:confused

In fact, maybe I should paint the most of her part with white just like almost all the cruise ship. It's another very attractive paint scheme for me.

Huuuuuuummm:confused:confused

The ability to plan well is definitely a virtue - but so is the ability to improvise, which you have in abundance.

Tom-san, I need the ability to decide the paint scheme, which I have in absence.:confused

Thanks!!

Give great thought to the paint scheme Katsu-san, there is no need to rush into it. With that said, I am sure that whatever you choose will look stunning when applied to your ever improving masterpiece.

My god that's a lot of styrene!

Congrats on still having fingers after all that carving so far, and good luck with the rest of the build, it'll look amazing when it starts coming together!

The solution is obvious: Very few cruise lines have only one ship - just make three or four more, and give them different schemes.

:lol

Really, just about any paint job would look great on it. (OK, maybe not lime green with orange and purple polka-dots. But just about any other paint job.)

:lolOhh! So I can drop that 'lime green with orange and purple polka-dots' paint scheme from the list!
Thank you Tom-san! :behave

Can't wait to see what colour you come up with...I'm sure it will look amazing whatever you do, I think light blues and white could work.

It amazes me how considerate we are in making Katsu-sans life even MORE difficult with all of our outstanding ideas. :lol

I agree with madmikeee on the thought of a retro-futuristic color scheme. Something bold and simple. If it were me, I'd avoid dark colors, because that would seem to make the model "seem" smaller, I can't really say why!

So, to further complicate your decision, Yuumi-san, here are a few more ideas! :lol
